Gardner needs to get a start instead of Melky. Of course with Kazmir throwing, he won't. So we'll see some more ground outs and half assed running to first base.

Girardi is over-manager of the year. In addition to the suspect pitching changes, and sending Gardner on a 1-0 count - it should've been Guzman running for Matsui instead of Gardner. Save Gardner for a situation where you can use him for defense. Would've been nice to have him in the outfield instead of Hairston.

The other move that was really curious was burning the two lefties in Coke and Marte on consecutive at-bats. Not that I necessarily trust Marte over Coke in that spot but he could have faced Abreu there. But going into this series, I'd take being up 2-1 at this point.

Did Tex and A-Rod switch places before the playoffs? I will say this about Tex......despite his frigid bat, they wouldn't be where they are without his glove this series. Anyone else imagining the Giambino out there at 1B every time Tex has made a huge play in the field?
