in fact, i'd hold him down and let a giants fan kick him in the balls. no matter what happens next season... i will not watch them play. i didn't have anew year's resolution... but i've found one now.

Now that was a great win...

Off to expedia to start looking for flights to Green Bay

Do you already have tix to the game? I hear that it's mighty tough to get tickets to any Packers game, let alone an NFC Championship.

Giants/Packers, NFC Title Game. Wow, never would've guessed that. Also would not have bet that Eli would play next week, and Peyton would watch from the stands. I wonder which game the Manning parents were at?

i think the father was at the colts game and the mother was at the giants game

it's also interesting how the giants started off by getting shredded by the packers and giants in their first two games.

I'm very curious to what the reaction is down there today....Who is getting most of the blame ?? Is Romo ?? Personally, I think he played a pretty decent game....Crayton killed them with that drop on 3rd down late in the 3rd quarter...biggest play of game in my opinion

    1. Crayton - big talker who drops big passes. That 3rd down drop was a killer and he quit on a route in the 4th quarter when Romo placed the ball perfectly.

    2. The defense that couldn't stop Manning after going up 14-7 with 57 seconds left in the half. You cannot let a team go and get 7 after that. I think that is what lost them the game.

    3. The OL and all the false start penalties and the one personal foul. And they sort of fell apart there at the end after man-handling the Giants DL the whole game.

    4. Romo was average at best when he needed to step up and be great. He let a sure TD pass to TO slip right out of his hands. He held the ball too long and took a completely unnecessary grounding penalty.

    5. Wade Phillips for all of the above.

    Chokers.

And although I hate Joe Buck, he was right on with Andre Gurode....why can't that guy snap the ball in shotgun ?? He just floats them back there.

agree. i'm in heaven right now. so happy to beat the cowgirls. i will be very upset if we lose to green bay, but more than any other team in the nfc besides the giants of course it'd be nice to see favre get there again. it's so hard to hate the packers. but hey, go giants!

    January 18, 2008 -- Don't worry, Eli! Jerry Seinfeld's got your back.

The nasty general manager of the Fox affiliate in Green Bay said he's yanking Eli Manning's favorite TV show, "Seinfeld," while the Giants are in town. But have no fear - the funnyman told The Post yesterday he'll equip the quarterback with all the shows he needs.

"I'm going to send Eli a complete collection of 'Seinfeld' DVDs," the consummate New Yorker said, "and a partial collection of 'Hogan's Heroes' for inspiration!"

Jay Zollar of Fox's WLUK-TV in Green Bay announced to Packer faithful that the regularly scheduled broadcast of "Seinfeld" would be replaced on Saturday night to throw off the Big Blue star.

"Eli, no Seinfeld for you!" Zollar shouted into the camera on Wednesday night's local newscast, mocking the "No soup for you" line made famous by Seinfeld's "Soup Nazi."

"We don't want to give any comfort to the enemy whatsoever when they come into town," he said.

But Seinfeld didn't appreciate the attempted sack on Manning.

"You think I'm going to take that sitting down?" Seinfeld railed yesterday.

"I'm dispatching George Costanza to be the new traveling secretary for the Packers."

He was referencing a famous episode in which George - employed as the traveling secretary for the Yankees - convinces the team to switch to cotton uniforms, which shrink after they are washed, leaving the Bronx Bombers too restrained by their pinstripes to play.

Zollar, who failed realize that Manning can just as easily watch the show about nothing on DVD, is not nearly as crafty as The Post, which distracted Dallas Cowboy quarterback Tony Romo with a Jessica Simpson lookalike during last weekend's thrilling Giant win.

If Manning does decide to watch Fox in Green Bay on Saturday night, it's up to locals what he'll see.

The station has set up an online poll to determine what should replace "Seinfeld." So far, a special about former Packer head coach Vince Lombardi called "God, Family and the Green Bay Packers" is winning, with 60 percent of the vote.

Other options include a rerun of a local sports show, "Inside the Huddle," an infomercial for "The Good Feet Stone" starring former Cowboy running back Emmitt Smith and an episode of "M*A*S*H."

"We know laughter is good medicine, and we decided we're not going to give that to him," Zollar said.

But as any Giant fan will tell you, Manning will have the last laugh.

"We are going to take Green Bay and go on to the Super Bowl," fan Ed Gallardo said in Rockefeller Center yesterday. "They don't need 'Seinfeld' to win."

"Are you serious? That's awful," added Giant fan Greg Littley. "To thumb your nose like that at a team, that's deep-seated hate for one player."
