Eli played pretty well. They just made stupid penalties. They need to cut the defense and bring in new players. If only there was a minor leagues for football. Forget the draft get some college kids now.

  • BIG WIN... that's what i like to see.

osi had a monster game... 6 sacks.

he really took advantage of the mismatch with tra thomas being out, although i don't think any left tackle would have stopped him tonight.

eli needs to be much better than he was tonight. they really won that game because of penalties.

and lawrence tynes is not an NFL kicker. i don't know why the giants still can't figure out after all these years that it's an important position. they actually traded a draft pick for that clown. brilliant...

    big fuckin' win though...

    OSI !

as if Strahan had to come out and affirm that the torch has been passed ,

doesnt he know the Big Blue Faithful took the torch away from him ( Strahan ) long ago and have already religated it to Osi- on our own .

    nice win.

    Lets Go Big Blue !

Completely agree on Tynes....Feely might have blown that Seattle game a few years back, but he was a solid kicker for us.

Aaron Ross played really good again...might we have actually drafted a good cornerback ???

O-Line played solid again.....very unsung part of the team so far

Now, we can't have a letdown against the Jets

Good crowd last night....GO BIG BLUE

yeah, really. ross looked bad (even for a rookie) during the preseason, but it seems like he's figuring it out in a hurry.

the entire defense is playing well all of a sudden, even sam madison. mcnabb had nowhere to throw the ball all night. a lot of those sacks were coverage sacks.

steve spagnuolo looks like a genius right now. there's really not that much talent on defense (aside from the front four and antonio pierce) that they should have been able to hold their opponents to only three points over their last six quarters.

but again, eli needs to cut down on the mental mistakes for the offense to capitalize. they were lucky that the eagles didn't really show up to play.

you're right about the o-line. they're a very good unit. left tackle became a major question mark once petitgout was released, but david diehl is playing very well. i still believe that diehl is better as a guard, and i'm hoping that eventually he'll move back there when guy whimper is ready to take over at tackle. in the meantime, it's great to see that rich seubert has come all the way back from the injury that sidelined him for two full years (and was expected to end his career). that's a great story. he's really returned to form.

luke petitgout tore his ACL yesterday and will miss the rest of tampa bay's season. that's sad to hear.

regarding the kicking situation, feely was OK but he chose to opt out of his contract and really wasn't worth more money. but they certainly could have done better than tynes. i still can't believe how good matt bryant got after the giants released him. unbelievable.

looking at the schedule it is extremely possible, and pretty likely actually that the giants could go 6-2 heading into the bye week before they host dallas. that is looking like it's gonna be a huge game. go giants.

3-2. Bad 1st half by Eli and the offense. But way to pick it up. Osi got another sack. got scared for a minute when he didn't get up. And Aaron Ross could be the cb we've been looking for.

    aaron ross is a beast!

they still need to cut down on the mistakes though. 17 points allowed by the offense and special teams...

who fucking calls for an eight-yard pass over the middle on their own 20 with 28 seconds left in the half?!? that was the dumbest thing i've ever seen... and i once witnessed myself trying (unsuccessfully) to outsmart a mouse trap.

always good to beat the jets.

HA! "intensive" purposes, eh? ha! where'd you go to school, Millis High? ha!

The New York Football Giants will be in the playoffs this year. maybe 8-8, maybe 9-7, maybe 10-6.

    Patriots will be 15-1, 14-2 or 13-3.

Im happy at 3 and 2 but yesterdays game shoulda been a lot easier to win than it was. Oh well, hopefully we SHOULD make the playoffs!

Man, that pass reminded me of Phil Simms. ha ha. I love the guy, and think he belongs in the hall, and without him we got zero bowls, but that interception before the half looked familiar.

The linebackers are still the weakness. When we play another team with a good TE, we will get shredded over the middle as we have the last two seasons. Draft a LB this year.

If we dont blitz, we lose. Simple as that. These LB's and corners cannot cover. It does seem though that they are finally learning their zone coverage responsibility.

Ball control. Run the ball all the way to the playoffs. Keep the D off the field. As good as they looked, I am not sold. Give it to Jacobs 20 times and Ward 10-15.
All that's sacred, comes from youth....dedications, naive and true.
  • Another W I'll take it. This looks like a new team.

Did Jacobs and Ward get hurt last night? If so is it serious?

Falcons are the worst NFL team... perhaps ever.

I'm sure with great personel it's probably a respectable offense. Rich Mckay should have been fired last year with that idiot Mora. Petrino looks like a fucking retard with some of these play calls, then again it's not his fault Joe is not NFL caliber athletically has a pussy arm and checks down every single play. That being said...3rd down and inside handoff is strait college action and it dosen't work there either. How did Harrington make it at the D1 level? He's fucking horrid. He is getting paid 7 million dollars over two years to be that fucking bad??? REALLY??? WOW.

It's even more comical that they have retained a 47 year old kicker as their best option the last two years.... how does Rich Mckay sleep at night with all the money he's stolen? People think he is a good GM?? WHY?

I hope you guys enjoyed the massacre. The Falcons make my eyes bleed.

Pierce looked great again this year guys, you have to like him in the Middle. I think the RB situation looks good and as long as Manning cuts out some of the terrible throws.. I think you'll have a good shot, hell the rest of the NFC sucks dick.

actually jeff hostetler got us the super bowl win in the '90-'91 season....but whatever, what matters is that the giants are 4-2 and looking at a very favorable schedule. i'm guessing 12-4 right now, could even be 13-3 which i think would give us home field in the playoffs, which is very key. the nfc is wide-open though. unfortunately there is no mystery this season because everyone already knows that the patriots are going to win the super bowl, but i'll still enjoy it if the giants can get there....they just gotta stay healthy and keep up the intensity, if they do that, i like their chances.

    nice win today.

wonder if the Giants and the Dolphins will sell out the new Wembley Arena over across the pond next week- and if they'll sell our version of " football " to the Englanders.
