Many may say the biggest upset ever I'm not so sure.

However this will go down as one of those games that will be talk about for all time.

Giants ya raised the roof tonight then blew the sucker off with your play.

    Congratulations.

I went to the 1996 Yankees one. The best was having my 12th grade english teacher telling me to have fun when i mentioned i wasn't going to be in class.

But you have to be there at like 6:30 am or earlier to get close, at least that's how it was in 1996.

  • wooofreaking hoo. Who would have thought that Plax gave the pats too much credit predicting they would score 17.

    18-1 or 14-6?

The Giants organization has produce a lot of Super Bowl winning teams. Vince Came from the Giants. As did Tom landry and Bill Belichick. And include the 3 they've won. We're a good coaching farm team.

traditionally, ticker tape parades are done on weekdays to give everyone an excuse to ditch work/school. :)

i haven't been to one since '98. i was living in maryland in '96, i couldn't get out of football practice in '99, and a pesky little calc midterm got in my way in '00 (i was sitting in a fucking classroom about 20 blocks away from the parade  ). but you can be sure i'll be at this one. tuesday is gonna be sick.

  • i gotta give respect to the patriots, cowboys, and packers fans giving congrats in this thread. classy move on your part. there really are a lot of great sports fans on this board.

you boston kids still have the sox for now. and i look forward to another great baseball season starting in a few weeks. and i also look forward to the giants/pats rematch in 12 months. :D it just can't happen any other way...

this win... wow... it's really special. more so than XXI and XXV even. this was a team that went 3-5 at home and only had one pro bowler. and somehow, they were able to come together and defeat the most talented (and probably the best coached) team in NFL history. that's teamwork in its highest form. inspiring. unbelievable. move over, joe willie namath.

i'll probably have more thoughts on this later. i gotta take the time to recognize the massive contributions from plax, strahan, osi, justin tuck, jay alford, steve smith, c-web, aaron ross, kevin boss, david tyree, etc... but right now i just can't find the words. i'm still in shock.

i can appreciate this. believe it or not, there have been a few people on this board who weren't 100% in love with my screen name. shocking, huh?

better manning... yeah... i took a lot of shit for that one.

and you know what? NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D

    M-V-P!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • i wonder who they'll take with the number one overall draft pick...

    i actually said this. :o

...along with a number of other "gems" on my part from early in this thread. but enough about that... :)

When a team, ANY team plays the way the GIANTS played and IF you're true fan one MUST give respect to THAT team. Last night that team was The New York Football GIANTS. They played one hell of a football game.

BetterManning you're correct the Patriots didn't choke not when the better team kicked ass and had no led up in the game. The Giants took that Championship, that's coming from a Patriot fan since 1972.

Respect, your username says it all.

I agree, neither team choked, that's why the game was so great. Both defenses played great, and both offenses played great. Giants D just played greater. Simple as that.

I hope we pick up one of their defensive linemen at some point haha.
