TUCK was one of 5-6 Giants that came down off the float, ran thru the Canyon Of Heroes actually hugging and high fiving the throngs of people packed onto Broadway like sardines.

I'm thrilled that Spagnuolo is staying. I thought all along he would turn down the Redskins offer, just cause Snyder is an asshole. But I got worried on Tuesday when he was at the parade in street clothes, while all the other coaches on his float were in Giants garb. Coughlin isn't a young man, so I could see Spagnuolo taking over in 4-5 years when Coughlin retires.

still just not ready to have this thread fade away. In addition to Giants, I'm a diehard yankee fan but just don't want baseball to start yet bc i want to bask in the Giants glory for longer.
Anybody get the Giants championship dvd yet? If not when does it come out?

the site i pre-ordered the DVD from says it will be available next tuesday (2/26).
what's up with this deangelo hall rumor? it sounds like the giants have offered their first and third round picks for him.
that's a steep price to pay when you're trading for a position that you don't really need. who's losing their starting job? corey webster or aaron ross?
i was under the impression that the giants were gonna use their first round pick on a CB anyway (since it's a deep position in this year's draft), but it was gonna be a CB that they could turn into a starting FS (since that's their biggest need). deangelo hall is better than any CB in this year's draft, but he is not a FS.
there's also the fact that hall only has one year left on his contract. he wants $10 million a year. maybe he's worth the money. maybe he's worth the draft picks. but he's not worth both. it's like the yankees with johan santana.
and then there's the behavioral issues, but it's almost hard to fault him for that when you consider that the target of his anger was bobby petrino.
so i really don't know what to make of this. deangelo hall is a hell of CB when his head is on right, but i think i'd rather they get a FS in the first round (unless keith rivers falls that far) and then use their third round pick to add some depth at LB. then again, who am i to question the great jerry reese?
& i agree. don't really want deangelo hall for what they would give up. go draft dan connor
my DVD arrived today. :D:D i know what i'm doing for the next 168 hours...
i like dan connor, but i haven't decided whether or not i like him at #31. i really couldn't argue if the giants decided to go in that direction, but my thinking right now is that keith rivers is the only LB worthy of the giants' first round pick. if rivers is gone by #31 (which is very likely), i'd like to see them draft a safety (kenny phillips, reggie smith, or a CB who can be converted to FS). there will be plenty of good LBs available in rounds two through five, and safety seems to be a much more pressing need right now. james butler sucks and it looks like they're gonna lose gibril wilson (possibly to the eagles  ). i kinda wish they had tagged him for $4.3 million.
I'm in agreement of Rivers....I'm hoping he falls to us at 31
Hall is a complete nutcase and the locker room finally seemed to be a united bunch ( without Shockey, lol)....you mentioned Ross and Webster, but I also really like Dockery a lot.

you're right, dockery is good too. a lot of people are down on him right now because he didn't have a great super bowl. i think that's really unfair (to borrow a line from T.O.). he had missed the better part of two months and returned at less than 100% to cover one of the best receivers in football (wes welker). who would succeed under those conditions? he's still a very good nickelback.
i mentioned webster and ross because i think it would be a shame if either of them lost their starting job at this point. plus i don't want my new #23 jersey to go to waste. deangelo hall would push one of them to nickelback and dockery to dimeback.
i also want to see what geoffrey pope can do. he was the practice squad player who was forced into action against dallas. he held his own in that game and the coaching staff thinks he has a lot of potential. his 40 time last year was 4.29.
it sounds like mcquarters will probably get cut, and maybe madison too.

Amazing. That dude was one of my coaches for a couple of years back in the day. Simply amazing. Good guy.
Awesome. Kinda figured with a staff already hired he wouldnt want or really be offered the job.
next years D should be pretty awesome.
I smell a repeat.
Fassell will be the guy in DC.
did you play for the Frankfurt Galaxy?
it must have been the "REDSKINS SUCK" chants that convinced him to stay. i have to admit, it was a fairly persuasive argument.
three years, six million dollars...
this is huge. next up: convince michael strahan to come back and re-sign gibril wilson if possible.
