So, just last night, I'm telling my wife "ya know what? Maybe Gracie has turned the corner (to good behavior)." Gracie is 16 months old and her nightime wildness seems to be decreasing a bit. Gracie and I were just hanging out and the phone rings. Two minutes later, I hear my wife yelling "Gracie, nooooooooo!!!" She (Gracie, not my wife  ) had chewed a tennis ball sized hole in her doggie bed. So, we had to clip the leash on her....it works wonders. I guess we're not quite out of the woods. Here's Gracie, serving her penance...

Adorable. They have a knack for doing that. And I could never bring myself to make them move, you know.

  • Meet Vedder, my American Bulldog. My fiance and I rescued him about 8 months ago. His original owner had chained him to a tree and left him outside. At some point while he was chained up he injured his tongue and it is now paralyzed and has trouble eating. However, he is in a loving home now and we couldn't be happier!

I swear, I dont even understand a TINY bit WHY people feel the need to treat an animal, specifically a doggie, badd. I mean, whats the point? I dont get emotional about alot of things but, hearing stories of people that have abused doggies? it brings me to tears INSTANTLY. I want to say a HUGE thank you to you for rescuing "Vedder"....if I could I would shake your hand and give you the biggest hug for doing this. You are a good person and I wish you and Vedder lots of great times and long life! THANK YOU! :)

Thank you. I, too, can't understand how people can treat animals that way. I guess some people just don't have a conscience. It is amazing how dogs that have been through so much because of bad people can seem to instantly warm up to and trust new people.

  • Wanted to throw a few more pictures up here because I like to show him off, ha! In the first pic you can kind of see the problem with his tongue. It is paralyzed from the tip until about halfway back. Most of the time his tongue is folded back in his mouth, which you can kind of tell by the picture. The second one is just him and I.
