In defense of the Duggar family, they are not on welfare, and they can afford every single child they have. How? I have no idea, but he does. Did you look at pictures of their house? He is not receiving any government checks. As long has he pays the way and not the government, if they want 18 kids, that is fine.

Further, as good parents (yes, they seem to be good parents....they are teaching their children, provide for them, spend time with them, etc.) they have a right to teach their kids what they want.

While certainly unusual and strange, I don't see why people bash this family for doing what they are doing. There are many families much stranger than them. I'd rather them have all their kids and teach their religious beliefs while loving their children than a drug addict have a single child and neglect the child.

On a funny note, if you scroll through the pictures, I think the one that has the caption, "Michelle admiring Jim Bob for being the spiritual leader of their home." is quite funny. It does disturb me that they are promoting that image that most Arkansans are backwards, women are barefoot and pregnant all the time, and are hyper religious. But like I said, they seem to be much better parents than many people I see.

Seriously...as I said before...Arkansas gets a bad rap. They really aren't so bad...and it truly is beautiful state! I wouldn't mind living there.

That pic is funny...but also very sweet. She obviously truly loves her hubby...she was probably thinking about making baby #19 when that was taken. LOL!

Yep, that's always been one of those things that irritates me. My 1st daughter's name starts with the same letter as mine and when I had my 2nd daughter the name I really wanted had the same letter, but I refused to be one of those people, so I gave her an H name.
