    but hopefully ALL of professional sports can learn from this. to have a lockout in the NHL, NFL, NBA all within 6 years is pretty embarassing.

    It's actually weird to say, but hockey has never been better than in the years following the lockout. That being said, it'd be interesting to see what happens whenever their CBA is up. Personally in this, I can't fault the players, nobody is telling the owners to sign guys to 12 or 15 year contracts.
