  • Positives from last night: 2 PP goals, Valliquette came in cold and shut Vancouver down, and that's about it.

I hope Redden and/or Rozival turns it around. Right now they're both horrible. Rozival is tradable, but we're stuck with Redden for the next 5 years.

Here is some food for thought for the Ranger faithful ........since the travesty that took place in 94 the Rangers and Canucks have played 14 times .......The head to head record in those 14 games

    Canucks 11 wins :) ........Rangers 3 :(

after 22 games, the Rangers have given up just eight goals while shorthanded but have allowed seven shorthanded goals while on the power play. Just one goal more down a man than up a man.

things that make you go "Hmmmm".......

Asked why the players were falling back into a passive 1-2-2 defense instead of forechecking Vancouver, Tom Renney said, "That was their choice, not mine." He also said, "It camouflages some of the bad things that you've done when you get a win. When you get your lunch handed to you, it's black and white." About the lengthy post-game meeting, he said: "You can go in there and rip 'em, and throw things around -- sometimes that's what's required. The garbage can was still upright when you went in, so that didn't happen.”

well considering him and kalinin are each a minus-2 over the last games and they've given up 10 goals, it's worth trying. I think Staal will keep be steady and if Rozsival does make mistakes, Staal's play could overshadow them or even make then a non-factor.

Exactly ;) If they have the same voting scheme set up, I'd expect a plethora of Ragamuffins in the starting line up.

I also love how the naysayers blame all 300k+ votes per player on internet scripts...lol

Oh now you're just bustin balls.
Price has been playing very well over the last two weeks, even if the rest of the team hasn't (last three games have been very good though).

Besides, if we were to base All-Star starters on current play, Thomas would get the nod.

December and early January seem to be when the slump happens, at least based on the last two years.

last year it was a 7-12-4 slump from december 3-january 20 and then they were 20-6-7 the rest of the way.

two years ago it was an 8-14-1 skid that spanned from late december to early february.

Can't win 'em all. Detroit lost 11 straight last year and won the cup, so...

Just hope to make the post-season, cause after that it's a whole new game.

Funny, the Penguins fans are using the same script now that caused the big camuffin in the first place ;)
