    4 Ws in a row
    Best seasonal start since 1980s
    We've already played:
    Lightning twice ( swept'em )
    Detroit
    Blackhawks
    BlueJackets
    Stars
( are we in the west conference now ? )

    Penguins ( best W so far )
    Devils
    Sabres
    Leafs
    & yes the lowly
    Islanders.

Thats alot of hockey in a little bit of time.
We are holding our heads up,
It wont be too long until we are up in Montreal schooling your Habs.

You guys are doing real good so far this year, guess that is what happens when you get rid of Jagr.

What the hell man? this is like the Montreal game last season when we were up 5 goals and lost. I knew when they put that stat up that Valiquette had not given up a goal to Toronto in 115 min. That Toronto would start scoring.

5 goals in 5:21 is pretty impressive for a team that was suppose to have trouble scoring, iwas simply amazed last night, i've never seen an explosion of offense in my lifetime like that, it put a smile on my face.

Very nice! .....shame they didn't retire Bathgates number earlier ......wonder if this is the only number to be retired by two players on the same?

Here is a little trivia you probably already know about Andy but I will throw it out anyways ....... he was a Canuck twice in his career between 52 to 54 and between 68 to 70 .......then came back to Vancouver to finish his pro career in 74 - 75 with the WHA Blazers!

i knew he was in van a while .
we all know the story of Bathgates wristshot that broke Jaques Plantes nose and caused him to come out wearing the first ever goalmask.
also, another interesting trivia question / answer:

he scored the very first goal in Pitts Penguin History - when they became a part of the NHL for the first expansion draft in the late 60s / early 70s, Bathgate wound up there somehow.

Cool stat about the Pens! ......And actually I did not know it was Andy's shot that made Plante put on the first mask! It’s funny up here in Canada that incident use to be run on these Canadian history ads on tv and they always show the habs coach Irvin and Plante but you never who the shooter was.

"You're a brave man Mr. Plante, standing up to them like that."

I knew who the shooter was but I don't think it was because of the vignette.
  • Another dreadful PP performance last night. This team really needs a lightning rod/classic goal scorer because nobody is stepping up. Zherdev has the ability but hasn't done it yet. When will the Buffalo Chris Drury show up?

All my friends complain that goalies facing the Rangers always turn into Roy in is prime, but I think once you notice that trend, it's not every goalie getting better, its the Rangers lack of offense.

Such a frustrating night last night.

Yea, that was pretty lackluster last night. I don't know why but I'm starting to feel like maybe they shoulda named Gomez as Captain. Drury has yet to show that leadership imho.

Its still a long season and we have plenty of assets where we can maybe pull of a good deal b4 the deadline. We're still 10-4-1 or something like that...no reason to get all crazy over 2 losses. Just bounce back next game with a good 60 min. performance ;)
Aah, fuck it, I’m just gonna go home, turn on the fuckin’ TV...

haha & you missed a good one. fun ending with voros going at it with smith. drury's third goal was typical drury... right spot right time. hopefully that will be a little spark.

good win, would have been awful to lose to three shit teams in a row.
