i was listening to this interview / chatshow on the MSG Network- TWIH I enjoy Stan Fishcler , & John Giannonne is a kid from queens- i really like his hockey covergae. Yeah , he's full of cliches, but hey he mentions the Boss ( Springsteen , not Steinbrenner ) often- this guys gold in my book.

good talk about Rangers, Isles , Sabres , and Devils .
Ryan Smyth talk, a real nice Sean Avery interview ( at 18:00 minutes )

Did you guys know that Stan Fischler is also a reknowned New York City Subway expert ? I saw him on history channel recently it boggled my mind.
    That is all .

stop by the pressbox behind section 335, i'm usually sitting in the middle of it near the TV. or look for me in warmups, i start by the visiting side and then go to the rangers side overlooking the left corner (the side where the benches are).

will we get the usual pre- preskate report from Le Garden ` ?
snap some cellphone pics of averys gf if you see her

    what an incredible game

we have to call a spade a spade : DiP is pretty amazing. He single handedly held the Isles in this game.
This guy never gives up on the play(s). Looks like he'd be a pretty good break dancer , too .

Did anyone else experience transmission problems with Versus ? I would get regualr pixels on the screen, follwed by a screenfreeze, audio kept playing realtime , then a brief black out , then finally back to action ( to catch up ). Of course this was happening all throughout the game, right at a breakaway , or at a crucial save . Almost as ridiculous as Brian Engbloms mullet hair......

Matt Cullen should be shooting in every shootout we engage in.

    DiP couldnt be rattled

wonder what my fellow NYR fans think on the shootout :

why the hell does Renney continue to choose to shoot first ?
isnt there more pressure on the visiiting team to go first, or is it me ? At least if he keeps this up, it will most likely be the same on the road-0 cuz i would ventuire to guess that 95 % of home teams will choose to go last ( when the NYR are visiting )

The first 5 minutes of the 3rd period may have been the most exiting hockey I have ever seen.
"Stunned by my own reflection, It's looking back, sees me too clearly and I swore I'd never go there again, Not unlike a friend that politely drags you down, down, down"

aside from the 2 points we desperately needed,

the most encouraging news i heard on tonights in and out broadcast on Versus was that the NYRs doctors said that Brendan Shanahan will definitely be back for regular season play, this season.

I hate to say I told you so, but another glaring difference in tonights game that was absent the first 4 with the Isles this year, was Sean Avery . He was all in DiP's face, and clearly you could see he was starting to get under his skin , as well as all the other D-Men.

Even in the interview in betweeen the 1st and 2nd periods, Avery said something to the effect " he's ( DiP ) crying and whining at me ........"

Thursday Night is going to be ginormous.
