in theory they'd like to think he can make an appearance at some point in the regular season. and he'd probably want to do the same as it's his walk year, so some team might a chance on him next season. hard to believe that he actually started opening day last year.

Wang was hurt and didn't make his debut until April 29 against Boston. Pavano made it to the fifth inning without killing himself but got injured a week later in Minnesota.

Cashman said they are going to let Pavano get healthy as he is rehabbing whatever this years injury is. they are paying him, so if they get even one good start, it could make a difference.

Who is Traber? I see he's a lefty which I guess got him on the team. Guess I need to look him up. I kinda thought Veras would be in the pen. How was his spring?

Only 4 OFs with one penciled in at DH every day worries me a little.

Opening day: when every team thinks they can win it all. Guess I need to call the cable company and get the Extra Innings package ordered!

  • Traber was with the Indians a few years ago, an dhe shut the Yankees down. 7 innings, 1 hit, something like that. Glad to see my guy Albaladjo mad ethe team.he's gonna be the surprise of the year

I think he may turn out to be really good too. I was impressed with what little we got to see of him at the end of the season last year. In fact I'm pretty excited about the bullpen going into the season. I really think Joba is going to be there all year. I don't think we will see him get a try in the rotation until next year unless things really go bad with the starters.

Just watched Gagne give up 3 in the 9th to the Cubs on a HR by Fukudome. I wish he was still in Boston. ;)

I don't know if a team will, but I think it would be a good move for a team in need of a DH. Bonds should still be one of the better hitters in the league, and despite the negative attention he might bring, I still think he can draw fans(even if they may just want to boo him). Hell, if I lived near an AL park, I would go to a game just to see Bonds.

    .

    I wouldn't boo, I'd scream YEA BONDS:)(I'm nice)

60 percent chance of rain in the afternoon, 40 percent chance of rain at night. they're playing the percentages and hoping for that window to avoid the dreaded day-night doubleheader later in the season.

    Hey Animal...
Btw, I said it in the thread on the porch
but gosh darnit that was so cool you got into that exclusive Eddie gig! Whoa! It's sort of like you won the lottery, in a way! I'm really happy for you.

they should build a roof on this New Yankee stadium, for what it costs!
PS-they JUST had the Mega Millions commercial on-it's 135 mil! Whoo!

    The Mariners won 5-2! :)

Seeing Eddie with maybe 120 other people, the way it all happened, the way we got in the show, the whole experience is something I will never forget!! That was really sweet! And I bought a Mega Millions ticket, it's up to $135M!

Yeah, again, the retractable roof on the baseball park is where it's at. Especially up here in the Pacific Northwest.
