you read my mind, I was wondering if there was a website!
And Jose Feliciano will be there too! WOW! If I had that kind of money I would try to go. It's pricey but it's for a good cause. That is really awesome!
    Thanks for the info!

    Oh :(
but something special like that, they should televise, imo

what was the thing, Moose was congratulating somebody the other day after God Bless America? Did you see that/do you know what that was about?

He was giving the umpire some props for calling a good game. Nice gesture from Moose since umps probably have a 1000:1 bitching to praise ratio.

It was a huge win w/Boston having already lost

esp after Mo loaded the bases!

It's going to be tough vs Toronto now but we have good momentum
I'm counting on you for the game recaps, I'll be fasting!

The Baltimore series was rough. I wasn't able to watch thanks to the stupid feud between Time Warner Cable and MASN. Games were blacked out. And of course the Yanks will finish the season up against the O's next weekend. I'm actually glad I didn't watch last night's 9th inning. Mo with the bases loaded and a 1 run lead! Woulda bit my fingernails off. Instead I watched former Tar Heel Russ Adams hit a grand slam off of Papplebon. Less anxiety involved in that one.

How about Dougie M? Dude has stepped right in since returning from the DL and is playing great.

I'll be shocked if the playoff rotation isn't: Pettite, Wang, Mussina, Clemens

    Tomorrow nights starters: NYY: C. Wang (18-7, 3.82) vs TOR: R. Halladay (15-7, 3.82)

    Saturday: NYY: I. Kennedy (1-0, 1.89) vs. TOR: D. McGowan (11-9, 3.84)

    Sunday: NYY: R. Clemens (6-6, 4.18) vs. TOR: A. Burnett (9-7, 3.40)

  • not that you ever wish for a player to be injured but vernon wells will not play this season. he's having shoulder surgery. although he is batting .245 this season, he is a career .310 hitter against the yankees.

  • posada wants a three-year deal worth $36 million.

that sounds good to me. they likely would have offered him two years and $30 million anyway. the yankees can afford a six million dollar backup catcher in 2010 if they have to.

it doesn't sound like jorge has any intention of leaving...

rickey henderson, boggs in pinstripes, danny tartabull, mcgwire with the a's...time flies.

also, they listed the attendance at yankee stadium for that game just over 14k people. along with time flying, it also changes quite a bit, huh?

i was at that game, i got free tickets from some promotion in the daily news as did many others. there were more than 14,000, just a lot of freebies back then after the strike.

Ian Kennedy will miss tomorrow's start due to a stiff neck. Good comeback in the bottom of the 9th. Now let's win it.

  • clemens is scratched with a tweak in his left hamstring, hughes makes the start

kyle farnsworth said his shoulder stiffened, which would explain why he didn't pitch.

giambi said his foot is feeling better

this game was the longest of the season at 4:45, two minutes ahead of the comeback win last week in Boston.

The Milkman Delivers! Maybe this will help him break out of his slump.
Wow, the bullpen is getting taxed these last two games.

Was listening to Bill Simmons podcast and he was interviewing ESPN sideline reporter Erin Andrews. Turns out she's a big Red Sox fan which broke my heart, but she had some great things to say about the Yankee players. She absolutely gushed over Jeter and Posada and how great they were to her to the point that she said it almost makes you want to write them a letter after the season to thank them for being so nice and making her job easier. She said a lot of the Yankees were really great including Damon, Giambi, and A-Rod. She did say there was one person in the clubhouse who goes out of his way to make her job difficult but wouldn't say who.

  • some tidbits from this one, which by the way watching it makes you feel like you played in it.

this one bodes well for the postseason maybe - the yankees began this season 4-13 in one run games but have won 13 of the last 19 one run games.

The Yankees used a club record 10 pitchers (whether Farnsworth is a pitcher is up for debate but he does get paid to pitch). It's one shy of the AL record for pitchers used in an extra inning game. That honor goes to the Seattle Mariners on Sept. 25, 1992 in Texas (Eric Hanson, Rick DeLucia, Russ Swan, Mark Grant, Eric Gunderson, Jeff Nelson, Calvin Jones, Juan Agosto, Mike Schooler, Dennis Powell and Brian Fisher).

In the first two games of this series, there have been 33 pitchers 18 for the Yankees, 15 for the Blue Jays. A combined 825 pitches have been thrown in this series.

Alex Rodriguez's three RBI bring him up to 146. That's the second most total by a Yankee since 1939.

Jeter has quietly put together a nine-game hitting streak while Doug Mientkiewicz is batting .450 since returning from the disabled list.
