    Anytime the Yanks are on the road and go to extra innings its an automatic walk off loss. Its really gotta piss them off by now. Twice the past few days.
    Yanks 4-10 in extra inning this year. 1-3 this past week.

    Fackin Mariano!!!! loads the bases 3 times the past 2 weeks in save situations.

    Jorge managing today with Mussina as his pitching coach and Jeter as his "bench coach" once he comes out of the game and Villone as his bullpen coach.

    Pitching matchups vs. Cleveland for the 1st 3 games with either Moose or Hughes getting the call in Game 4 (if necessary) and Wang coming back for Game 5 (if necessary):

    Thursday, Oct. 4: Game One Jacobs Field TBS (Wang vs. Sabathia)

    Friday, Oct. 5: Game Two Jacobs Field TBS (Pettitte vs. Carmona)

    Sunday Oct. 7: Game Three Yankee Stadium TBS (Clemens vs. Westbrook)

    Looks like Matsui will be the DH going in to Cleveland. Let's hope the knee holds up. He's getting it drained today.

    Sounds like they are going with 11 pitchers (5 starters plus Mo, Joba, Viz, and Farnsworth) to start the playoffs and its down to 2 spots between Ohlendnorf, Villone, Veras, and Ramirez. I say Ohlendorf and Villone. Joe looks like he is trying to get a good look at Veras though (2 saves this week). 2 weeks ago I would have said Ramirez, but he has been terrible as of late. I wouldn't risk it with him.

    joe might want to re-think using wang in game one with the seven-day schedule. don't get me wrong, i like the seven-day schedule better. but pitching wang twice on the road is not the way to win a series. they need him going at the stadium.
