they weren't meant to be. i haven't been here since friday, and look at how well things have turned out in my absence.

things were moving along just great in your absence. it would be nice if you did left again, then maybe we can debate about some issues.

Well I bowed out of this thread the minute people started hurling insults instead of rebuttals. It just seems that on this board if someone disagrees with you instead of discussing your views maturely people resort to insulting one an other as if that will validate their opinions/ideas. Pretty damn childish if you ask me.

that's even lamer. why don't you talk about how he hates baby jesus, tortures puppies, and eats babies? they're all probably equally true. just when i start to respect you, you go all "im rush limbaugh's incendiary and mentally incompetent little brother" on me.

it's got nothing to do with literal, it's got to do with intelligence. he posts an interesting and applicable quote about learning from history and instead of an intelligent response PROVING your superior knowledge of history and how his quotes are inapplicable, you say he hates jews and ignore his point. that's weak.

the point of the quote was that america's actions show an alarming trend. they were talking about american behavior TODAY in comparison with other regimes in the past and what it indicates for our future. it wasn't a pissing match. it was a "is this really where we wanna go" sort of thing. and rather than explaining why our actions are different from past missteps, you throw in the jew-hater comment. it's lame.

I think we all throw are fair share of jabs. too many thing will change, I believe, moving forward, then to compare it to something like our treatment of native americans. and the world is such a different place now. 2 things I see for world peace. resolution to the Israel conflict and an alternative fuel source. o how happy we will be.

I'll have to find the post. it was something like, "I hope Iran gets a nuke so they can wipe Israel off the map"

I've never said anything of the sort. But go ahead...knock yourself out. I expect you'll be looking for a long time. Maybe in your absence the pit can return to some semblance of normality.
