i love holland. my dad was born in rotterdam and my granddad lived there through the 1940 bombings of the city. in fact i think he was in the army then. i have his dutch army dogtags.

i know nothing about the politics though.
There was hardly anything left of the city after the bombings, you can be glad he survived and that you are here. Dutch politics are kinda complicated with the multi party system, bottom line Labour and Christians will be the next gouverment.

Must say my head has been in the sand for a while so I dont have a clue what the agreement will bring us. The little stuff I heard about sounded good though...much more social than before at least.
Whats that about your job disconnected?
Why not be mediocre and be the best at it that you can be?

labour i could understand, but i always through religion was low on the list in holland. i read somewhere that only 12% of the dutch were still christian.
Yeah I don't understand either but the PM is of CDA and that always helps in a way, plus they are more or less centre parties so there's quite a big group able to identify with them and don't forget that old people vote.

Well, either you get a new job, or you stay 'connected' to social welfare from UWV...

No kiddin...what's the point that bothers you? What are they planning to do?

I work at UWV. I pay disabilitybenefits. There's a new 'WAO' now called the 'WIA'. The new agreement is that they want the insurancecompanies like Achmea are going to pay the benefits for those who have less then 80% disability (WGA/80-100% disability is IVA). That means we lose work. Less work means less personall.

That is also why I hate thos assholes in the Hague because I love my job a lot.

I'd prefered to let it all stay at UWV. This way we all can be sure of objectivity. I am pretty those insurancecompanies will make a mess and don't have enough knowledge for doing this job.

Not so good...well, see it from the other side...you're still a young professional...there's so much out there...if you lose your work, the chances are fairly high you'll find another.

Nevertheless, this situation also brings lots of stress...that's shit!

The P&A sector always needs good people, like parel said you're a young proffesional, so all will be ok if you ask me. Yet I understand that uncertainty isnt cool.

I still think it sucks that Groen Links isnt in instead of CU.

    P&A? Personeel en Arbeid?

There are many other jobs, but I hate working for companies based on making profits.

You can always join at my work - we're a non-profit drinking water company :) - maybe a little bit profit to keep the organization healthy...

How's your technical knowledge? The are still some jobs available.

I'm completly not technical. I had juridical education on MBO and quit HBO when I finished the first year. That was governance-education.

Yes, and there's plenty of work with the government too in that sector I presume. I work for a big company and it's not like I imagined it at all (worked for the HHS before that).

So it's final, we'll have a majority Christian new government.... Let's hope they really aim for a cleaner country and give education a boost.

So, peeps...are we satisfied with what we've gotten?

I am still not sure and I do wish everybody would stop paying attention to that f*cking ass of a Wilders...
Cant we just push the national ignore-button on him or something?
Aren't there more important issues to handle...?

Heeee, looking forward to seeing you all In Nijmegen and/or Werchter!!

Lately I've had little time to follow all that has happened, but in general yeah I'm happier seeing PvdA in the government instead of VVD who imo only care about making money, dunno what to think of CU.. I believe religion and politics don't mix and I'm quite a liberal thinker, so I'd rather have another 3rd party, but what can I do?

Wilders makes politics interesting for those who read the Telegraaf and sadly that's a mayority. It's not that every point he makes is total BS they just make such a big deal about it in the media.
