McCain has symptoms of old age disease. Geriatric syndrome is creeping up on mr winky...

    Besides, he's a fruitcake unfortunately.

That didn't stop people from voting for Reagan. Who happen to show the same symptoms.

I'm sure someone on this board can find a youtube link to confirm it.

    Of course!

But then we know we can always count on one of you guys to post a bit from his website saying how he said he isn't satan, at all....see, he said it right there!! And if we're really lucky, we might get a romanticized speech on satanic relations in this country. Then we can all start falling over ourselves drooling over how amazing Obama is and how he's the new JFK or maybe even Thomas Jefferson...

    McCain is too old.

    Obama is too naive.

It will be interesting to see which wins out. Tell you what though, Obama would be better serves to disassociate himself from race-baiting pastors and guys who once bombed the Pentagon.

It's hard to explain that stuff to middle America, and it makes the old white guy with no known ties to terrorists look a little more attractive.

It's impossible for Obama to be quoted correctly and not be taken out of context

HA ha ha ha ha! Yeah, the press really has it in for Obama.

You think this is a good thing. I'm not so sure
Obama is a fresh face and might gain us some respect internationally from radical groups who are used to seeing stodgy old white men in office

Trust me. Al Qaeda will not confuse Obama with Osama.
Obama actually wants to try and *gasp* help Africa

I don't know much about this issue. I'll give it to you.
Obama is actually interested in helping keep jobs in the US and keep the economy strong

And McCain is for a weaker economy
Obama's education plan is much stronger and mkes more sense

    OK
Say what you wil about it, but his health care ideas are much more robust and easily digestible than McCain's simple "Hey, lets import prescription drugs to lower costs....that's all I got"

I don't want universal health care.
Obama supports civil unions. It's a step in the right direction.

This wouldn't kill me one way or another.
    Obama is pro-choice.

    I'm not.

Guess I'll have to vote for McCain.

    Yeah that darn liberal media.

The massa story which you help perpetuate this evening is a lie put forth by who then? Rev Wright non story last for how long? Yeah media darling

You watch Fox News? (news: term used lightly) They really love him over there.

I work in the media. I know we're liberal. I saw all the long faces on election day.

What is happening to Obama is, for the first time in his life, he's actually getting scrutinized. If he can't handle THAT, well, he's not cut out to be president.

why is rev wright a non-story?

why are you so upset that your candidate of choice is actually questioned? do you think he's above questioning?

    if it's policy you want...

when confronted with the facts about the capital gains tax, obama discarded the fact that when taxes decrease, revenues increase...instead, he said who cares, taxes need to be "fair"...

    ok...

why are liberals so offended when they are asked to describe their beliefs?
And you ask me what I want this year
And I try to make this kind and clear
Just a chance that maybe we'll find better days
Cuz I don't need boxes wrapped in strings
And desire and love and empty things

Thanks for choosing who I am voting for. I did not know that Senator Obama was my choice. It is always nice to know that RWers are good at making choices for others.

I like that Senator Obama is being questioned. But you got to be kidding to think that half a debate run by a personal friend of Bill Clinton should be wasting time on a stupid flag pin. Which George the Rhodes Scholar was not wearing during that stupid fucking debate.

Will Senator McCain get the same kind of scrutiny? Doubt it.

As for Rev. Wright have you actually read the full transcript of the sermon in question? Or seen the sermon? Not just the cherry picked parts for the short attention span general public?

I will vote for Nader as I did in 2000.

I can't believe there's someone in this country who thinks Republicans get a free pass from the media. Takes all kinds, I guess.

Relax???? Are you fucking kidding? McCain is a puppet. He will invade Iran, which will embolden all terrorists and you will see mass amount of terror inside the U.S.

His worst position is national security. Not like he has any good positions. He's pathetic, he's old, he sucks Bush's cock, and he can barely even read the teleprompter anymore. If he can't even read the words written for him, he won't even make a good puppet.

yes, relax. there is a vein popping out of your head as you type. mccain will not invade Iran. I thought the terrorists were already embolded from us invading Iraq, why haven't we seen mass amounts of terror inside the US?

McCain will not win the general election.

He will be pounded for his pro-war agenda.... the Dems will use the 100 years comment, the "bomb Iran" song and the "Iran is training al-Qaeda" quote among other things which will make him lose any credibility he might have now.

He will be marketed by the Dems as four more years of the same Bush policies. And people will buy it. The rift between Hillary and Obama supporters will heal when Hillary makes a public statement after she loses encouraging her supporters to vote for Obama in the general election.

Barack Obama will be the next president of the United States.

    That's my official prediction. :D

thats a fine opinion but obama has many more issues that will make him lose credibility with middle America and most independents. the issues you mentioned about mccain will be easily explained and justified.

Maybe, but Obama has a way of deflecting any attacks that come at him... even if they are harped on for weeks it seems to never affect his standings in the polls.

To me, though, McCain's comments about Iran training al-Qaeda is indefensible. For someone who claims the war in Iraq as one of the strongest aspects of his campaign, to not understand a fundamental aspect of the violence over there (i.e. the sectarian divide) is just shameful. And he didn't "misspeak," either... he said it numerous times before he was corrected.

The outcome will depend on the strength of each campaign, really. If Obama runs a weak campaign (which is unlikely), then McCain will win. But I wouldn't count on it.
