    Hmmm...

Okay, I tried making a guy doing the Charleston, but he just looked like he'd walked on a landmine while carrying some twigs. :(

Oh I get it! You wanted to represent the feeling you get when you step into these threads filled with testy Obama supporters. :p

    Don't drop those twigs!!

I just wish we could all put aside our differences, and disco dance our way into peace. :p

Because then they'd be too busy disco dancing to notice us creeping up behind them to hit them with hammers. :D

The problem is he "shiny" so to speak and attracted a lot of followers on this shiny/fresh face value charismatic and capable approach, then he fails miserably at it....the little traditional things that are so easy to do.

like a brand new car with a scratch on it.

    conflicting brainwaves...

i am not attracted becasue he is shiny...

i am attracted to him because he speeks about "we" and not "me"

the #1 quality of a great leader, is having the ability to lead and have peopel believe in you... was MLK Jr perfect, no... was Gandhi perfect, no... but they had a message of hope and collective progress. they spoke about "we", and not "me"... and they were 2 of the greatest leaders of the 20th century, because they were able to unite people of all walks of life under the guise of collective progress

the people that assume obama is doing well because he is popular forget his name recognition about 6 months ago was almost zero

You are attracted to his shininess... his ability to conduct a moving speech and gain appeal through it.

I call this shine appeal because car salesmen are often good at it. They routinely emphasize how "shiny", sporty, and cool looking the car is rather than just present the stats of the vehicle (the actual issues themselves)

Afterwards people get snagged by the warranty...hehe

Yeah, but it has to be real disco dancing and not some bunch of phonies all doing the mashed potato. :D

    Okay,
Sorry that I have not been able to respond all day.
Basically this is how I feel.....
I don't trust Obama, like i said before I could give two shits about the pin or salute bullshit and there are real political views on why I do not like him that would take to long to list. I just do not like him as a person. I guess I am the only one. He seems week to me.
I do think his wife said a terrible thing and it does matter to me since she wants to be the first lady of this country. Granted I have said many stupid things that I wish I had not said but I nor my wife is running for office.
I don't trust him b/c for one, he is a typical politician. And two maybe his pastor is the one who said all those bad things but if you stand near the sewer, your gonna smell like shit. It took him way to long to say that he seperates himself from Wright. There are to many little things that add up to a big deal for me and you all seem to have the answers for and thats fine but I just do not care for the guy.

    Bash away

you have no clue what i think, but thanks for assuming...

what were people attracted to MLK Jr for? his shininess because he was a great orator or his message?

Roland, I think you are cool. :) You have awesome insight.

    ..the warranty... lol

The problem with Obama is that he's popular enough to resonate with mass amounts of people, so he's at a level to reflect to them who they are and their ideals. The average person holds a lot of darkness within and it will come to the surface. Guaranteed. Evolution happens slow and steady. Ron Paul or Kucinich, on the other hand, were pointing to the Truth behind the individual truths of the masses.

Obama is great for what he's offering, and yet mediocrity continues to fuel killing and dichotomy on the world stage in a widespread fashion.

and Kucinich endorsed Obama, for good reason.

I wasn't insulting anything, I was quoting the clip.

Like Obama or not, as long as you are not solely basing any opinions on this propoganda BS which caters to the easily confused and non discerning members of society....

I mean seriously... while we are making rediculous accuasations.... maybe we shouldn't vote for hilary either because she could PMS and start nuclear war.....

OR, we could be realistic and disreguard the propoganda from the onset.

Sure I do, because his policies blur into McSame and Hillary.

If the message ain't got no shine nobody gonna buy it... ;)

From a sales perspective Obama is a closer in this regard.

If I were American, and voting, I'd probably also vote for Obama.

Can you understand that even views you don't like have validity, despite your opinion?

Nothing to bash if you don't like the guy, I may disagree with you, but you don't have to like him or trust him. But do you really think that this movie was a good and fair representation of even the things you just said?

I know you said you don't want to go into why you don't like him, but hopefully your reasons are more to the point than what was brought up in this film.

and also, why would you post this video, claim it was life altering, and then "not have time to get into it" or espouse your concerns?

or is it just that you dont know what you are talking about?

Well they do quite frankly. He has zero tolerance for opposition in the middle east and will support Israel and fight "terrorism" for 600 years if necessary. That's a direct quote from him btw...

This is where a lot of Obama fans play ostrich..

Do you really believe that all opinions have validity? What if someone were to have the opinion, and I'm sure there is some racist who does, that all blacks in America should go back to being slaves. Is that a valid opinion?

Sure some opinions can't be called invalid, like if you like chocolate more than vanilla (which I do), but I think other opinions are certainly invalid?

I would love to clarify my assertion: Any politician that is going to be able to hook the masses is doing so because they reflect the masses. Obama may be "shiny" and yet, that he resonates with so many shows the similarities he has with so many. The majority of people are imbalanced, and play this imbalance out all around them. And further, they deny what they do, and point the finger at the other guy. This mediocrity - this attachment people have with fragmentation and their egos, at the expense of wholeness, understanding and awareness is behind all judgment/blame/conflict and war in the world. People continue to act in such a fragmented way, and to gravitate to others who do so.

You might want to look up what "ad hominem" means...

easy... if you said women are inferior, i would say that was an invalid opinion.

if you said blacks were inferior, that is invalid.

i am sorry, not every opion is to be valued or respected
