Is fate greater than yourself, since you cannot control it? Or can you contorl it?

    Can't control fate.

I don't think it's an atheist's goal to make themselves the top of the food chain. I think it's to uncover the truth beneath the fiction.

That might be very scary to many people depending on what the "truth" is.

The issue of God and Free-will are very important to me. If I can uproot free-will God will crash as well. The two depend on each other.

Also, it's a simple fact that we have no free-will.

needn't be God, or faith. I don't belong to any organized religion. I just believe there is a "life force", if you will, that we all are a part of, and should nurture and take care of. If you keep it simple, it's a hell of a lot easier to accept. Treat each other, and the planet, with respect and kindness, and you really don't need all that other stuff.

Ah Ryan, I'm not trying to negate you or what is important to you. All I'm saying is I'm fairly drunk now and I don't understand why folk need to bang on about this stuff. We all like each other right? So why not just relax and be who we are and accept that there are differences? So much easier that way.
Well in my drunken, stupid state that's how it seems anyway. LOVE is always the anwer. Go on! Tell me I'm wrong!! :p

Absolutely, love is a great answer.

I feel that the illusion free-will is the root of all evil.

Testosterone, Estrogen, Oxytocin, Vasopressin, Norepinephrine, Dopamine, etc... = Love

    Very very simple ;)

Well as you know, I can't necessarily be rational about that today.
HOWEVER, as a general rule LOVE is an excellent thing to focus on.

    LOVE for "the one"
    LOVE for family
    LOVE for your children
    LOVE for your friends

    LOVE for your fellow man.
    LOVE for the creatures.
    LOVE for the planet.

So I reckon that should keep most people pretty busy. :)

I think we all have faith.

Those who believe in god and those who are athiests.

And the thing that I have faith in more than anything else, is people. :)

AND I have faith in myself, and that I don't know all the answers.

And probably never will. That's what I have faith in the most. :)

Ok, a whole bunch of shit happens in the brain in response to stimuli that causes the sensation of lust or 'love at first sight'. Prolonged exposure to the stimuli causes chemical bonding in the brain which results in the ontologically subjective experience of love.
