well I think you're wrong. chicago is one of the best places to be. we have no natural disasters. (tornadoes near the city are rare, no earthquakes, no hurricanes, no risk of wildfires). seriously how can chicago be the worst place to be? that makes no sense. No. It takes one year. The Earth goes around the Sun once a year. We get the seasons because of the Earth's tilted axis... when the north pole points towards the Sun.. it's Summer here, Winter in Austrailia. The two Equinoxes occur when the axis pole are equidistant from the Sun.

Oh... it's called 'Precession'. Like the axis of a spinning top, right? Then, yeah.. that occurs... but it does not change the distance of the Earth from the Sun, right? The seasons will eventually change (to where Summer of us will be in December... but, that's not scheduled to happen for another 12,000 years from now... not 4.
Activities on the Planet affect the atmosphere... whether it's Earth's sulfur farts in Siberia or pollution spewed into the air for 110 years. That's what we need to consider.

It's cool Mom. I get where you're coming from. I guess my only response would be, please don't think I'm endlessly defending OLS blindly, because I'm not. Stupidly sometimes, but never always with blinkers on. He does come here to the train because it distracts him from his illness, keeps him awake when he wants to be here to chat just for some human contact but unfortunately that also means that his head isn't always screwed on right or he doesn't express himself well and he does have a go at people. People who don't want to get into an argument, or don't want people taking shots at them, don't go to political message boards. OLS knows what the Train is like, and he still comes here. When I don't feel like getting into it with anyone, or having insults hurled at me or whatever, I don't post here, because every time you post there's a chance that will happen. I don't expect anyone to treat me with kid gloves, and while I certainly can't speak for OLS, I can't imagine that he does either. I get tired of being "the sick one" all the time, I like that I can come here and still be treated the same as always, when I'm up for it
Oh... it's called 'Precession'. Like the axis of a spinning top, right? Then, yeah.. that occurs... but it does not change the distance of the Earth from the Sun, right? The seasons will eventually change (to where Summer of us will be in December... but, that's not scheduled to happen for another 12,000 years from now... not 4.
Activities on the Planet affect the atmosphere... whether it's Earth's sulfur farts in Siberia or pollution spewed into the air for 110 years. That's what we need to consider.

Anyway, as far as I'm concerned it's water under the bridge. He uses this for an outlet, right or wrong, and sometimes people take issue with that, right or wrong. AND SOMETIMES, I stupidly try to protect him when I know that things are particularly bad, right or wrong. I don't really see it as siding with the opposition, I don't really see that there is an opposition. More like things get said, it develops into fisty cuffs and then it's over. Hopefully with a little more understanding on both sides but that's not a prerequisite.
Of course I'm quite sure when he gets back, I'll have some splain' to do!
Anyway, it's all good. And completely off topic, which I apologize to the OP for my part in.
