    I don't really know hippiemom except for her posts which I always enjoy and look forward to reading them again soon. She seems to be such a good soul. I had no idea she was going through such a troublesome time. Cancer is an ugly thing, such an ugly, ugly thing. I am sending you wishes for a speedy recovery and seeing you back in these parts soon, Hippiemom.
    Also to Steppenwolf as I know all too well the anxiety and feelings of coping with a loved one's illness.

    shit.

    laura's got pneumonia. they just gave her antibiotics and those should be kicking in within 12 hours or so, i was told. i wasn't able to talk to her, but i'll let you all know how's she is doing when i know. she really appreciated the get well wishes last night from you all.

    Hippiemom, for reasons beyond being near my spot on the political spectrum, has always seemed pretty cool to me. Good throughtful posts. I envision a tough woman with solid principles. All of this, and this thread, leads me to breaking my usual message board mannersim--I am going to follow this story closely and I really hope everything goes OK. Obviously, Hippiemom is an itegral part of our little MT community, but more importantly, there are obviously a lot of loved ones out there that need her.

    Please get well soon, Hippiemom. I look forward to seeing your next post on...whatever.

    Please keep us updated steppen - you're doing a great job. :( What an absolutely horrible start to the week - I had NO idea. Please send her my love. She helped me out through a bad time once and I'd love to be able to do the same for her but distance kinda destroys the chances of that. All I can do is think about and pray for her - and as mookie suggested, I'd be willing to help whatever little bit I can financially if needed, but I'm sure that's the last thing on her mind at the moment. Tell her to hurry up and get back to us cos the MT will be empty until she does.

    Hippiemom, this is just to let you know my thoughts are with you in your recovery. You'll make it out of this - I may only know you here, but I know enough to say you're far too kick-ass to let an illness keep you down for long.

    Thank you so much for these news...... sorry for being so late.... I just can't stop thinking of her since I read this post very late last night.
