When you do it it's different????? Pity AT & T can't shut you up when you're on a roll. I mean everybody knows that mother fucker can't possibly be as bad as nigger coz you know women don't count anyway.
They're just WORDS! They have no meaning other than that which is placed upon them. You won't stamp out racism by stopping people from saying WORDS.
Oh what's the point anyway? You'll come back with some stupid, flippant comment and all your little misogynist fans will applaud. But that's ok, because it's cool to hate women.
hardly. i openly admit to using misogynist and sexist language at times. i also am fully aware that if this sort of thing gets around to employers, it could jeopardize my career. and id not be whining about how i'm not allowed to say it. i might call whoever did it a wuss for going behind me to tape it and send it to them rather than confronting me (as i just said about dog), but id have dug my own grave with it.0 -

which is why black people take issue with crackers like you using the word. becos a word that used to be used to describe black people is now supposed to be synonymous with lazy or disrespectful behavior. yeah, i can't see why they'd take offense.0 -

So because you admit you do it with reference to women it's ok to go after other people about things they say just because you don't get them?
We should all do it the way you do it is that it?NOPE!!!

I've never really understood how it works either Speedy.
The guy sounds like a real piece of work, but there are plenty of them getting airplay around the world these days. Seems that the culture demands it.NOPE!!!

Oh!!! Oh!!! Me!!! Me!!!
Is it because... the T-Shirt was actually an protest against the Swastika... sayng 'No Nazis' on it? The only ones who would be offended by this would be Nazis... and seriously, how can you really offend a Nazi? I mean, they are fucking Nazis... right?
...
So, if Dogg the Mullethead would have screamed against someone who was using the word, 'nigger'... this would be a non-issue and none of these sentences would exist.

its a pretty sad commentary on the culture if you ask me.
just goes to show that people will watch anything on television.
its just human nature for people to revel in others misery at times it seems.
i can't stand to watch TV anymore.Nice shirt.0 -
Im shocked the PC police haven't shut this thread down yet.0

has anyone even listened to the complete tape? he is far from just an occasional N-bomb dropper. doesn't he call the woman, who he had yet to meet, a soulless n*gger? Wow! I was not surprised. The guy looks like Joe Dirt's hillbilly uncle or maybe Hulk Hogan's half brother (fake blonde and SUPER tan)0

Jeanie wrote:Ok, so humor me. How is this different to people getting up in arms about Eddie sporting a T-Shirt with a swastika on it?
i believe cosmo handled that one adequately. you seem pretty upset that people find nigger offensive. hampering your vocabulary?0 -

Call me vacuous, and I'm sure you'd like to, BUT weren't the people on the pit posting thread after thread after thread about Eddie wearing the t-shirt because they were offended? He wore a swastika on a T-shirt in a public forum and it caused a furor. Until people clarified.
All I can see here is that Dogg or whatever his name is has said something in PRIVATE that people find offensive and it's now become public, they're dancing up and down about it. And on anybody that dares to mention it. Levelling all kinds of crap at the op because THEY haven't clarified.
Swastikas really hold no power. It's the perceived message behind them.
Words like nigger hold no power either, it's still the perceived message behind them. They both hold as MUCH power as YOU, the individual are prepared to place upon them.
I don't really see how attacking people for even bothering to mention it ACTUALLY does anything? And what I do find sad is that people aren't able to get past these things. There is something radically wrong in the world if people find it necessary to attack others based on a swastika on a t-shirt (however it was represented) or by drawing people's attention to an issue of privacy invasion they get attacked for having the word nigger as part of the furore. While we're all busy attacking each other for how we express ourselves, things like Nazism and racism are thriving.
Anyway, I kinda get what you're saying, but I don't know if it's about winning?
If it makes you feel better I can give you a packet of Doritos for participating!NOPE!!!

Yeah, that's the problem Quarter. It's not as simple as turning off the tele.
It's in the print media, on billboards, everywhere a person looks they are inundated with "culture" and how and what they should think and feel and more importantly what they should BUY!
I think the marketing and media people have learned how to get their message across in subtle and not so subtle ways. This glorification of celebrity and "the beautiful people" is all about cash. It's so insidious that I don't think people even realize just HOW MUCH it's shaping the world we live in. The whole things seems to feed off itself. I really don't know what the answer is, because it seems there's no escaping it. Even if you do turn off the tele.NOPE!!!

how is this at all related to a privacy invasion? his employer wasn't tapping his home phone or eavesdropping and firing him for what he did at home. his punk son recorded their convos and sold the tapes. the same thing that got bill clinton/monica lewinsky busted. sucks for him, but it was ont an invasion of privacy. he's a public figure and his show depends upon positive press to stay alive. if he makes the network look bad, he cannot perform his job. simple as that.0 -
