I knew about the Denver one but hadn't heard about the Chicago.

There was no booing in Chicago '03. I was there. If there was, it was minimal. I remember thinking about the Denver show at the time and listened for the reaction. As far as I heard, people cheered.

Well, as long as you're comfortable with whichever error you intend to explain off you're incompetence with, I'm happy.

I wonder if the same people who say shut up and sing also say that when someone is supporting bush

The real question is, would more people tell him to shut up and not voice his opinion if he was supporting Bush.

I'm not real sure. I'm a staunch Republican and I didn't really give a shit what he talked about at Camden. I was just happy as hell to be there and thankful I got to listen to them live. The music is enough to carry me off anyway.

Most of his rants on the live cds I find just humorous anyway.

Ed's view on politics don't bother me, I agree with most of what he said and I think all he is trying to do is inform people, not tell them what to choose. And to the guy talking about them getting booed for playing Bushleaguer in Denver, that wasn't even the worst, Uniondale people were throwing shit onstage and flipping the band off, causing Ed to slam the mike stand and leave the stage, rather than saying, "good night, love ya", like he usually does. Eddie has always been very political, and never afraid to express himself, where have been?

It's just Eddie's opinion, we are all allowed to have them.

Also (and this is just a thought) but, by supporting the band for all these years and helping to elevate them to their current position, aren't we partly responsible for giving Eddie a platform on which he can be heard? I'm not saying he's right or wrong and we don't have to agree with him but he obviously genuinely thinks he's helping to inform people and we should be grateful that he gives enough of a shit about these issues. It's one of the reasons he'll never be a rock star asshole, he's intelligent, articulate and genuinely concerned about things and I'm more than happy to listen to him.

With all the shows you've been to, it would be pretty easy to get some a little mixed up every now and again. :D
