My problem with Rudd jumping so readily to sign Kyoto and make the "apology", is that these are trivial issues blown all out of proportion by the media.
So Rudd is a good little camper, and he will do these things when silly old Johnny would not.
So what do we have, government by media then ?? At best, these are trite and quickly forgotten trivialities, at worst, they are crowd pleasing populism, toadying to the noisiest element.
Kinda like giving lollies to your screaming kids at teh shops so they shut up. A quick solution today, but not much substance for the longer term.
Actually, can't wait for him top gert them out of the way, then we will start to see what he is really made of. I predict a very sweet, but pretty damn short honeymoon period for ol' mate Kev.
BTW Jeanie, I have no problem with you expressing your opinion, just as long as you return the favour.
I have no strong emotion about any of this stuff, just bored and pretty jaded opinions.
    Music is not a competetion.

Yeah, I admit I'm worried about that too luce. I'm pretty much over politicians in general so it's nice to see these things finally being addressed BUT if that's all that happens I'll be just as peeved as I was before. And I don't really see Kev as the Great White Hope or anything. We'll see what he does but I can't say that I trust him OR even hold out great hopes about our future under his leadership. Things he has done so far are pleasing to me but this is the first week. He's got a long way to go. A LONG WAY. Whether he measures up remains to be seen I guess.
I've never had a problem with your opinions lucy. I may not agree with you but as far as I can see you're just as entitled to yours as I am to mine. I just can't be bothered arguing about it. I certainly didn't mean to sound as though I am dismissive of your views just I can't be stuffed fighting is all. :)
    NOPE!!!

    Oh, so much hate. Pity.

Cos I'm still basking in the glory of being a Bennelong voter who put Mr JWH at 13 out of 13 candidates! :)

Life is good. Kevin07 signing Kyoto as his first PM task has changed him from a 'ugh, fucking Howard-lite' to a 'meh'. Now if he can get Queensland to stop hogging all the water flow down the Murray-Darling, and put up a stack of wind farms and subsidize solar panels and invest heavily in geothermal power generation, and overturn the Gunns pulp mill decision, I might just pull on a Kevin10 shirt.

Finished? Do you feel better?

You're making some pretty big fucking assumptions there, but from all my dealings with you I know that you prefer being a troll. So rock on. I hope it gets you were you want to be in this world. I'd take it personal but you do it so often why would I bother? You're pissed the Liberals were voted out and the more you go on about it with your snivelling the more I wanna dance about Labor getting in and I can't stand Labor. But hey, why don't you enlighten me with your superior intellect? :)

No assumptions.... just observations made over time.

Many.....Many people have gone to great efforts jeanie, in the hope of enlightening you to even the smallest degree.... but its doesnt happen...no matter how much you ask for it....
    cos youre fucken unenlightenable.

And this pissed off vibe youre feeling from me is nothing to do with politics, yeh sure, Im slightly bummed rudd won, but this is about the shit you go on with and the fucking enormous scale of it all.

a troll ? haha...thats very funny. if I was a troll I wouldnt fucking be trolling you thats for sure...never have never will. Me and your mate cate had some nice chats over time, ....some may have even gotten a wee tad steamy.... atleast at her end... but anyway... cash money says she will deny this, and no doubt put her 10c worth in return. (but deep down, we know and we believe) Oh and I think I asked Lucy if he was a real lesbian once.... Imagine that...trolling for lesbians.... I do love a challenge !

so please.... go right ahead, and boogie away baby (for you I put on the Benny Hill tune).... cos if the amount of knowledge you have on any given subject was dancing talent.....
you would appear to be nothing more than a fucking epileptic crossing the tiles heading for the toilet.

Is there a point to all this abuse or did you just have another bad day at work and I'm supposed to wear it?

I find it a bit tragic for you that the best you can do is slag off at me.
Not particularly mature OR even smart but hey, we've already established I know nothing. Maybe it's because I'm not fascinated by your charms????? Anyway feel free to put me on ignore.
There's really nothing to add. I don't waste time on people not worthy of the effort. You have a nice life. :)

I'm not insinuating ANYTHING. If you bother to READ and COMPREHEND before you start slagging you might actually have a clue about me and where I'm coming from but I suspect that is not your style. Well not today anyway. Seriously have no clue what's up with you, but I'll not be responding to you again. If you want to discuss this further the pm function is available otherwise go and find someone else to abuse.

    Some salt on your wounds.......

    http://www.smh.com.au/news/opinion/now-our-economy-is-made-in-china/2007/12/04/1196530675467.html

    I like this part..

The former prime minister John Howard claimed during the election that his fiscal discipline was keeping inflation and thereby interest rates down.

This was hogwash. Average inflation was relatively low, but this hid the bipolar nature of our economy. Non-traded goods suffered endemic inflation during the Howard years, but the problem was concealed by disinflation in the traded economy. It is easy to keep inflation low when every year China keeps shipping us more goods at cheaper prices.

They use environmentally friendly fuel for that sort of thing actually. Hydrogen. We already have the technology.

No matter how many times I hear it I still give a sigh of relief that those years of division, arrogance and fear mongering are over.
Now I'm livin' out here on the beach,
but those seagulls are still out of reach.
