Well that only works if you have caring parents. The truth is there is a large number of children out their growing up without proper parenting. The number of inner city children who live in single parent households is staggering. And without proper role models, these kids get lost along the way to adulthood. Eventually they will have children but without ever seeing a proper family, they have no idea how to be a good parent. Sure someone of them will be able to figure it out, but the majority won't and the cycle will just continue.

so very true and i see this on the streets of my local community as these kids turn into adults without any sparkle of joy in their eyes...

i sort of felt once upon a time that gov't should be involved to help lead the untouched towards a better path, but recently, i have to question becasue i see school and curriculum being centered around false aspiration, such as gaining an endorsement by nike or another corporate conglomerate, when what should be taught is common courtesy and methods to achieve social skills and above all, inner peace...

for myself, these thoughts are very complex...and i have not the skills to convey the elements within my heart
