sure, lets a have a free market in a democracy, an oxymoron considering. The people have a say insofar as the country is democratic, so this hands off approach amounts to an unregulated industry, which as we know leads to all sorts of terrible monoplolies and concentrations of power, none of which seem to care in the least for future generations.
