the only way america can limit doctors earnings is if they limit them at a very high amount. If we were going from a place like canada where it is limited it would be no problem to cease limits, but to ask people to take a 50% pay cut will not fly at all...I read somewhere that Canadian MD's make about 1/2 of what American MD's make.
The working class is paying for the lazy, but they are also paying for the very sick and those unable to work, which I think definitely has to stay.

if you limit earnings for one you have to do it for all. if my income were limited i'd close 2 manufacturing companies laying off at least 100 people. i can adjust my income to be whatever i want. there's a loophole for everything. i can buy a hummer; write it off as a business expense (it's over 6500 lbs) and knock $60K plus off my gross income. i can then sell it and pocket the money. that's only 1 trick. i've got a million of them. i can also divert income to my grandsons. they pay a lower tax and give me the rest.

    i agree; i won't pay for a layabout.
secondly; america cannot limit a doctors earnings.
thirdly; we have medicaid for the poor. so the working class is paying for the lazy.

Such a nice way of putting it, all it does is spell your greed and selfishness.
Keep on rockin in the free world!!!!

The economy has polarized to the point where the wealthiest 10% now own 85% of the nation’s wealth. Never before have the bottom 90% been so highly indebted, so dependent on the wealthy.

Here's something I don't understand... so, will someone please explain it to me.
Why is it so tough to pay taxes to pay for medical insurance for American citizens here in this country... yet... it is okay to shovel out 12 Billion Dollars of U.S. Taxpayer dollars a month for Iraqi citizens to fight their goddamn tire fire they got going over there? Is it because our kids and grandkids are picking up the tab for that one... does that make it okay?
    ...
Also... how can an inept, inefficient government screw up national Healthcare... yet... fully expected to conduct a massively complicated task of nation building in a culture that is completely foriegn to it... AND.. in the midst of a Civil War?
    ...
Can someone please... expalin this to me? Because for the life of me... I just can't seem to figure it out.

The perfect combination of arrogance and ignorance?
    Just a stab.

They might get something right once they start putting the interests of the people above special interest groups and profit.

So far... about the only thing this current government has got down pat is how to lie to the people... without actually telling a lie.

Lying is par for the course.

To elect politicians and think they arent lying to us is naive.

What is so shocking about this administration is the absolute refusal to take into consideration the feelings of the people as a whole, the people they are supposed to be serving.

Most polticians are smart enough to utilize forward and reverse gears, and gauge their descisions based on polls and popular opinion.

Bush has a stubborness that isnt rooted in integrity, its just rooted in stupidity.

Bush is not stupid. He has cleverly crafted remarks that have effectively avoided accountability for great suffering he has caused. Its been a long time.. who is clever enough to assign it?

You honestly think he has "crafted" ANY of his remarks or excuses that were even the slightest bit clever or afforded him avoidance of accountability?
He has speech writers for that.
Any cleverness he has displayed on his own is purely accidental and you can almost see the glee on his face, like he cant believe he said something coherent.

Hes a puppet in the hands of the right wing power machine.

Out of all of Michael Moore's films and books would you:

a - recommend the films more or the books?
b - out of your answer for a which is your favorite (film or book?)

the only book i've read of his was 'downsize this' (his doc 'the big one' was made on the tour for this book, i believe, which is also a great doc)

i downloaded sicko a few weeks ago but haven't watched it yet, i might go to the theater first this weekend and see it on a big screen first

downsize this was a good book and had lots of good info

you should check out his first tv series 'the awful truth', both seasons are on dvd and his 'corporate crooks' segment was great!

as far as his movies i like his first 2 the best

WTF is up with Lou Dobbs at the end of the video... "He's more of a left-wing promoter than Hugo Chavez"??? :D:D:D what a silly bastard
  • Dr. Sanjay Gupta today admitted that he was wrong about some of the facts in his CNN report on SiCKO -- a report that led Michael Moore to blast Wolf Blitzer.

Haha! Really...Lou shouldn't quit his day job to pursue comedy. That joke was so awkward and non-funny. :D

    Gupta.. full of shit

on Larry King he tried to say they used different sources... however.

    1. If the numbers were actually 6000 to 250 per capita - the difference is still astounding and doesn't change the fundamental message of the numbers

and second.. Gupta didn't just give different number.. He clearly with the support of cute graphics proclaimed Moores numbers to be wrong.

The truth about anything is unavailable.. a few seconds of argument leaving Americans to make the choice they feel comfortable with which has already been planted through years of carefull twisting of facts.

too much trouble to know the truth.. We are still a fat lazy brutal nation that just doesn't want to be bothered with anything.
