Actually, I agree with both you and Stone - I think Kerry would have been a pretty good president (still have my bumper sticker on - but that might just be because I'm lazy and have a shitty car). Hell, he was the first major party candidate that ever got my vote for POTUS. And for me, it wasn't just because Bush was in office.

And, while I'm not sure I'd consider myself "far left," I have no real love for the DLC as an organization.

I remember really hearing Kerry for the first time on Hardball the week of the first Democratic primary... I just remember being impressed that he actually answered each question clearly and directly. He actually didn't sound like a politician, and that impression stuck with me through his whole awful campaign. I kept wishing that the Kerry I saw that first night would show up again before November, but unfortunately besides a few rare glimpses, he never did.

Upset isnt the right word. Id say disappointed. I think the fact that conservatives still go to their shows, and read articles on them, and go to forums dedicated to them, despite their obvious differences says alot about those conservatives. And I honestly have no real problem with eddie's ramblings. (You know, they call him talking in concert "ramblings" on bootlegs for a reason, thats all it really is) I'm just disappointed. Thought this could have been so much more. Its not like were sitting here 24/7 steaming over ed's words. Theres a thread about it. Several. We participated. Forgive us. From now on, when you dont want any conservatives to voice their opinions, label the threads FOR LIBERALS ONLY>>>>OPPOSING VIEWS NOT WELCOME and we'll gladly oblige.

Dude, I wouldn't be disappointed. Ed is extremely articulate in writing song lyrics and I can identify with the sentiments in songs like Insignificanc even though I disagree with the specifics because he's that damn good....

But he's SOOO bad at articulating his opinions, which was quite evident for quite some time. To me, it's like reading a reactionary thread on here...I find it hilarious. Brevity and directness is a virtue...Ed is able to achieve these in song, but not in conversation.

you shouldnt offer unsolicited life advice. It affected me enough to participate in threads dedicated to the discussion of said comments. Have my comments affected you so much and are you so thin skinned that you cant just let me have my opinions, and get off my ass?
The thing is, the whole idea of a message board is that you post your opinion, then others post their response to your opinion. That's sorta how it works. If you don't care to hear others' opinions of your opinion, you don't post it. Pretty simple, really.

i only posted it once before...and a few pages into the thread it was brought up by someone else, then someone said they didn't see it...so i posted it so they could...

how is posting a list of campaign contributions 'misinformation'? just b/c you don't agree w/ the views doesn't make it any less true, no matter how hard you wish it to be. are you saying you doubt the validity of the list?

I have no problem with entertaining others opposing views I just find the level to which this has affected you to be interesting. You can talk about it all you want I have no problem with it. Secondly no one hear is preventing you from expressing you opinions and views. People may disagree with you and counter you points with their own but that's what we are here for to discuss and debate. So you can quit with this you don't want to hear our opinion bullshit because it seems to me that it is you who has a problem when someone disagrees with you.

It's mammasan not millhouse, but that's besides the point. You just seems to have this I'm a conservative on liberal band's message board chip on your shoulder. As far as inflamitory posts by thelikes of my2hands most of us that have been here sometime just ignore it because by replying you just feed the fire. So just because you don't see us making a remarked doesn't mean we agree with him.

my2hands posted his opinion and bunches of people have commented on it, and if he came back and posted for people to get off his ass, I missed it.

You're a wee bit paranoid, aren't you? I've had hundreds of perfectly civilized discussions with conservatives on this board. In fact, I've been perfectly civilized in this conversation with you ... where, exactly, did I go "apeshit"?

Maybe apeshit was too strong. Like I stated above, why is it that blatant trolling by "respected members" here is "ignored", yet 20 people want to come shoot down every opinion I have? The only reason I can come up with is 1) agreement or 2) blinders.

And mammasan, the (milhouse!) wasnt for you, it was for milhouse. He dislikes my use of the word blinders. Plus I think he's gonna give me $20 every time I use it. ;)

I dont disagree, nor dispute his posting of the article about mike's contributions. However, he just posted that, like yesterday, in another thread. And im sure Kabong doesnt need you defending him.

If nothing I said offended you, why did you say my remarks were offensive? Im confused?
