Might I suggest Free the Children as another possibility if the ones you have contacted don't work out? It's a Canadian charity for children in third world countries that was started by Craig Keilberger (probably spelled wrong...) when he was only 12 years old, and they do fantastic work. My high school was very actively involved in this and it's been a few years, but I just remembered it. Something to check out, anyway.

an update on the beneficiaries.

for tuesday august 12th & wednesday august 13th ..

i would like to have the white ribbon campaign & annex cat rescue to be the beneficiaries for the eddie vedder wishlist foundation preparty fundraisers for the toronto dates.

things are looking good. got a few mix pearl jam cds/dvds to play at the pub. a few freebies to give away at the parties. printed out tons of wishlist foundation info. got in contact with the owner of the pub, Nicole. they can't wait till we arrive.

with white ribbon capaign & annex cat rescue, our benificaries for the nights, it's gonna be sweet!

now to plan the monday or thursday trip to toronto. need to visit greek town. last time i was there was back in '05. hmm ..

What time do the pre-parties usually go to. I work until 5:00 and then have to be at the 10C window for 6:30. I work around the corner from the Elephant & Castle and wondered if everyone would still be there from 5:00 to 6:30.

I would say they probably will be going on until the doors open for Massey Hall

will start at 2pm. will have the raffle draw/auction around 5:40pm something. 6pm we will close up. my hotel is just around the corner of the pub (easy for me to move supplies to & fro) plus it's just a minute or 2 away walk to massey hall. so there won't be a rush to the event, pick up the 10club tickets, pick up a poster, and then enjoy liam finn & ed for the night!

Count me in then for Night 2 - just got back from Elephant & Castle (wanted to see how long it would take me to walk there - not long at all). I will try to leave work early that day !!!! Cannot wait !
