apparently you can get a 30% discount on TO hotels

Priceline is also really good - if you go to 'name your own price' me and a couple others got the same hotel - the Sheraton which is really nice and in close proximity. I put in $70/night for a 4 star hotel and got it!
I guarantee it's nicer than any of the choice hotels..

The Elephant would be the best place to host it. The Moose is too far...It would be like 20-25 minutes walking...

I'll be there for sure where ever it is. I work downtown and always enjoy a few drinks before a show.

    All:

I would suggest the Elephant and Castle. I Manage the Hotel Attached to it. They hold great parties for our staff etc - great for gatherings.

    Also - Speaking of hotels.....

    http://ca.deals.travelzoo.com/hotels/432164

We just signed a deal with Travelzoo for $89 for the summer. Usual rate is $179.00

Now if you book at our place - be good enough to PM me and I will make sure you a) get a nice room and b)get put on a floor with other fans and avoid any noise complaints or security problems.

If you decide on Elephant and Castle - I will attend and help out the cause.

If anyone ends up with an extra ticket for the 13th - I will buy it off you. Demetrios - Add me to the need a ticket list.

I can donate a poster for night two. D let me know when you guys finalize your location. see ya soon
  • I have 10C tickets for night 1 and am hoping to get Ticketbastard seats for night 2. Depending on who I end up taking to the shows (I actually have a few friends and family members who are fans!), which has a lot to do with whether I get tickets for night 2, myself and my guest will most likely be attending one of the preparties. I tried to get in on the action in Hartford, but as I am only 19, I wasn't allowed in. I won't be missing my first chance at a preparty if I can help it. Hope to see you all there! :)

And for keen out-of-towners who arrive early, I highly recommend spending some time on Queen St. West since it's so close to Massey. Very unique shopping area that everyone local and/or touristy loves. :)

Massey Hall isn't close to Queen west at all. It's a cab ride away, maybe 10 mins or so, but certainly not walking distance for a tourist IMO. Massey is east of the Eaton Center. If I was an out-of-towner, I would do the Eaton Center and Yonge Street.

You must be thinking of Roy Thompson Hall, which is in the west end of the city.

    Jon

I see you wrote KEEN, so maybe I am out of line with my post, but Queen West is a FAR WALK!

Yeah I guess I should have mentioned that it's not exactly next door. I know the area really well, but I guess it would be more complicated for out-of-towners to find from Massey. I don't think it's a far walk personally, as I've done it before many a time, but I guess I'm not thinking from a visitor's point of view. Meh, it's still something to check out. And I DID say keen after all, haha.

I also have to point out that The Loose Moose is a much farther walk than Queen St would be. The distance from here to Massey Hall would pretty much have to be cabbed or subwayed (Is that even a word?) anyway.
