Good luck on Tuesday everybody.
Don't spend your whole weekend fretting about which poster will be for sale Tuesday and what time, its wasted energy.

As for this, if you didn't get a night one it's your own fault, I got one when I went in and was walking around for a good half hour when I saw an empty mech booth with a stack of posters(at least 50) just sitting there.
As for night 2 they did sell out a lot quicker cuz at the first booths they were selling 4 or 5 at a time I think.
Anyway if youre there when the door opens you should have no prob getting one.Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?0 -
Just out of curiosity and to play devil's advicote. What do you think a good system to sell the posters on the website would be? I mean they are only selling a limited amount of them. Which is most likely 100-200 prints. And you have 5,000+ people going on the exact same time trying to get those. I don't think there system is messed up at all. They are just in high demand and then it comes down to luck. Yes it would be nice for everyone to get the option to buy a poster, but I like the fact they are hard to get. It makes getting one even more exciting.
I do like the idea of giving 10C members the choice to buy that shows posters when purchasing 10c tickets. But then what do you do for the members who get shut out of 10c tickets?MLPS: 6-30-98 ; East Troy: 10-8-00 ; St. Paul: 6-16-03 ; East Troy: 6-21-03 ; Camden: 7-5-03 ; Grand Rapids: 10-3-04 ; Thunder Bay: 9-9-05 ; East Rutherford: 6-1-06; East Rutherford: 6-3-06 ; St. Paul: 6-26-06 ; St. Paul: 6-27-06, Chicago 8/23/09, Chicago 8/24/09, EV MLPS 7-2-11, PJ20 Alpine Valley 9-3-11, PJ20 Alpine Valley 9-4-11; Wrigley 7-19-13, St Paul 10-19-14; Wrigley 8-22-16; Seattle 8-8-18, Seattle 8-10-18; EV NY 2-4-220 -
I need to remind some people how awesome the 10 c is. The bootlegs alone make this the best fan club in existence. Pearl Jam care more about their fans than any other entertainers. sorry laura, the board is not a place to bash the very exclusive club that you are a part of and come to your own conclusion that the people who run this club and even the band are part of some grand scheme to make sure YOU dont get a poster...make it easy....dont try to get a poster anymore frame the ticket stub for your memoriesMansfield II: # 23, since '03

why don't you just start framing your ticket stubs if you are looking for a momento from the show?
so here are your choices: (i got these from the mediators handbook)
try to buy a poster like everyone else, win-lose
buy poster on ebay - compromise
start framing your ticket stubs, win-win-win (i win too for successfully mediating a conflict).

Hello everyone,
This is my first official post. After reading the last 6 pages I had to laugh. Scams, Theorys, evil Ticketmaster etc... Guess what??? The old days are GONE!!! No more waiting in line a Tower Records to get tickets. No more going to Rock Memories and buying PJ posters for $30 or less. No more walking in the show 2 hours after the doors open and buying a STACK of posters. It's called supply and demand. You guys want to bitch about the prices??? Go onto expressobeans or Ebay and check out the old Pollock Phish posters. They went for even more $ when the band was together. Why whould you want more posters than you can hang on your wall??? Maybe it's fun to get drunk in your buddys basement and flip through them while telling stories about the shows. Or maybe you like to collect things. WHO CARES. I am surprised the prices have gone up but look and gas and every other thing you buy. Did anyone think that the posters would just stay around $20 forever? The 10c is doing the best they can and they have always been helpful over the phone and in person. And if you are having trouble getting the current posters why don't you try getting a better internet connection.

The problem is all the bitching that is going on. There are a helluva lot of nice people on here. Some may have an extra poster, ask kindly to trade, and hell, you might get the poster you want. If you got shut out last time, try again. If you end up with a DC, and don't want it. Most people would probably trade the one you want for it. Look ahead, not back. Always next time. Best of luck to all. It is only a piece of paper when it comes down to it!Everybody made a movie....

kidapollo wrote:Maybe they could pick us all up at home and give us rides to each venue, too. And, really, beer should be included in your 10C ticket as well. Who wouldn't be willing to pay a little extra for a tribrew-bong when you pick up your tickets and poster?
Some other ideas: 10C babysitting service, 10C valet parking with 10C car wash (by seniority of course), 10C laundry (bring your dirty undies in and have them washed while the band plays 'wash'), 10C post-gig massage, 10C bill pay (just bring 'em to the window and let Tim and what's-her-name make out your checks and lick our stamps) ... Why can't Kerensa take family (or, JAMILY as they say in Entertainment Weakly) portraits while the opener is on? And, what are Mike and Stone doing that they can't give 10C guitar lessons before each show?
Is a 10C bathroom with a 10C bathroom attendant, 10C mints and 10C fruity hand soaps too much to ask for?
They aren't here to cater to our every whim. The posters are worth something because they are limited. I've been to 15 shows in the past three years and I've bought a poster at each. Rather than cooking up a second homemade batch of meth and shaking the last bits of office-grade cleaning solution to huff out of the can, I went into the arena/pavilion/stadium of each show, waited in line and bought a poster. I'm 15 for 15. Believe me, I'm not faster than any of you. I'm not more spry. There are ass dimples on my sofa and my TiVo remote buttons are worn down to little stubs. If a fat fuck like me can get posters, any of you can.
Well...as you can see, this is my first post. I joined the 10c some 7 years ago for various reasons. 1) THE FUCKING BAND ROCKS! 2) How cool is it, for a measly 20 spot, to get seats in the first twenty rows without having to camp out for days or spend hours redialing an 800 # only to still get nosebleed seats. 3) Not to mention a very cool limited edition vinyl lp every xmas, plus all the other little perks that come with being a 10c member.
It seems to me this band bends over backwards for its fans and a lot of people don't really seem to appreciate what you have.
As they stated in the very first email, these posters are VERY LIMITED EDITIONS. NOT EVERYBODY CAN HAVE ONE . That also means that if there are only a total of lets say, 5000 posters printed for each show, not ALL 20,000 FANS THAT PACKED THE ARENA ARE GOING TO GET ONE. SIMPLE MATH FOLKS.
I think it's awesome that we even have a shot at getting a very cool piece of artwork like these posters after a show is over and done with!
Unfortunately some of us can not devote our lives to traveling to 10+ shows every tour. That doesnt mean we are any less of a "fan" than the rest of ya.
After 22 years in fire/ems, I've seen good peoples lives end in a blink of an eye. Be thankful for what you 've got and quit getting so bent over a poster (or lack there of). Half of you are probably lucky you make it home from the venues in one piece.
So, once again, stop bitching at the band, the 10c and anybody else that may have been involved in poster sales. Just be thankful you get to wake up each morning and take a fresh breath of air!
On that note...Think I'll go wait by the mailbox for my Boston and Philly posters! See ya in the "Goods" cue on Tuesday!
Thank you PJ and 10c.!_____________________

polsonm wrote:Well said Laura. I agree wholeheartedly! If any of the guys from the band saw what was going on with their 'items' they would (at least Id hope) stop it all. The showed thier disdane for the ticketmaster crap a long time ago, and yet here we are, fighting for posters...so people, who didnt go to shows, buy them via some f'ed up system, only to sell them for a profit! I went to the Philly and DC shows and stood in line, only to get a sold out response. I wasn't mad at that, thats life. But to then get the chance, and this time by some poorly run system, that apparently only gives the opportunity to some people...well, lets just say, it really puts things into perspective. And Ill repeat, puts a negative image on BOTH 10c AND Pearl Jam!
Fuck Me, So by giving us fans who have joined the Fan club a chance to get a poster for $20 instead of me having to go to eBay is wrong,Then what do you want them to do, mail everyone that ever bought a concert ticket a free poster? If you wanted a poster from the show you went to why not buy it there? I went to Postland and both Gorge and have very nice poster of each.
Don't compare 10C selling Posters to TicketBasterd making money on bands!!!

Hi all,
New here. Went to my first PJ concert on May 22 in Detroit.
Sure wish I would have bought a poster back then but live and learn. I can'e believe how fast the pages add up here. Been watching this for a few days and it is crazy. One question though.....what is this ghost thing?0 -

Great post. Maybe someone could make a copy of their poster and put it on a tshirt for others to see.
While it might be ideal for the 10C to offer everyone who gets tickets to a particular show the corresponding poster when the tickets are sold, I think the current system is pretty fair.98-KC; 00-Indianapolis, StL, KC; 03-KC, DC; 04-DC; 06-Camden2, DC, Pittsburgh; 08-DC; 09-Chicago1, Spectrum3; 10-DC; 13-Baltimore; 16-Chicago1; 18-Seattle2; 22-NY; 23-St Paul1&2, Chicago1; 24-Chicago2, NY1, Baltimore0
