I have to ask this, cause I'll admit, I'm stupid about this stuff. What does one do with these posters, especially 10-20 of them? I mean, I looked through the posters, and yes, some of them are really cool, but if they aren't on your wall, what good are they?
I would love to get a Cleveland 06 poster, cause in my opinion, that one rocks, but you all aren't giving me much hope. I think it would be awesome up on my living room wall, in a frame......
just me i guess.0 -

It's just a song that comes up under your name and when you get to a certain number of posts your song changes, for example I am told that when you get to 50 posts the song changes to Animal. Hope that helps_____________________________________________

Ok guys, im going to get fired on for putting this. I feel bad that so many people got shut out tonight but it's not the bands fault, its not 10C's fault. Its simple supply and demand. The demand is way higher than the supply thus lots of shut out pissed off people. I got shut out on the first one, got lucky tonight, and I'll probably get shut out the next poster. But, I'm happy with what I get and glad I get the opportunity to try to get these sweet pieces of art. Just be thankful we even get the change to buy these instead of them keeping them in some warehouse somewhere.

mjlink wrote:Can't we just skip this stupid technology and make posters available to 10Club members who order tickets through the 10club?
Why can't I walk up to the 10 Club window the day of the show and pick up my two tickets and my poster. My guest will have to fight it out inside the venue if they want a poster.
After the Gorge shows (my last for this tour, at which I got a grand total of ZERO posters at the shows because of the asinine insanity), I sent an email to the 10c asking for EXACTLY this. When you purchase your 10c tix, have an option to purchase the show poster as well. Granted, they would be sight unseen, but so what? I'd be more than willing to roll the dice on that one. The posters are already at the venue; it wouldn't seem like a huge stretch to count out the number of posters bought with 10c tickets and give out both at the 10c line. We could then take the posters to our cars for safekeeping and be DONE WITH IT!! No worries of theft, crushing, beverage spills... wouldn't it be great to just rock out without worrying about the damn thing -- AND have time to spend with your buddies pre-show instead of lining up at the doors so you can get into the venue first -- and get a poster -- and then spend 2+ hours wandering around the venue wishing you could get back to your beer cooler and put the poster away.
*sigh*
It seems simple to me. I never got a reply to my email, but I am hoping that it was read and considered. This current system is just nuts.

I totally agree. I would love to not have to worry about my poster while I'm rockin out. That would be the best and easiest most manageable way to get posters to the fanclub members. Unfortunately we might have to wait until 2009 to see that implementedRecording Artist Coalition 2002, Irvine 6/2/03, Irvine 6/3/03, San Diego 6/5/03, San Diego 7/7/06, LA 7/9/06, LA 7/10/06, LA 9/30/09, LA 10/01/09, LA 10/6/09, LA 10/7/09, San Diego 10/9/09, San Diego 11/21/13, LA 11/23/13, LA 11/24/13, Seattle 12/6/130 -

Maybe they could pick us all up at home and give us rides to each venue, too. And, really, beer should be included in your 10C ticket as well. Who wouldn't be willing to pay a little extra for a tribrew-bong when you pick up your tickets and poster?
Some other ideas: 10C babysitting service, 10C valet parking with 10C car wash (by seniority of course), 10C laundry (bring your dirty undies in and have them washed while the band plays 'wash'), 10C post-gig massage, 10C bill pay (just bring 'em to the window and let Tim and what's-her-name make out your checks and lick our stamps) ... Why can't Kerensa take family (or, JAMILY as they say in Entertainment Weakly) portraits while the opener is on? And, what are Mike and Stone doing that they can't give 10C guitar lessons before each show?
Is a 10C bathroom with a 10C bathroom attendant, 10C mints and 10C fruity hand soaps too much to ask for?
They aren't here to cater to our every whim. The posters are worth something because they are limited. I've been to 15 shows in the past three years and I've bought a poster at each. Rather than cooking up a second homemade batch of meth and shaking the last bits of office-grade cleaning solution to huff out of the can, I went into the arena/pavilion/stadium of each show, waited in line and bought a poster. I'm 15 for 15. Believe me, I'm not faster than any of you. I'm not more spry. There are ass dimples on my sofa and my TiVo remote buttons are worn down to little stubs. If a fat fuck like me can get posters, any of you can.I MET SIR MIKE F'N McCREADY!!!!!!!!

Where does the Posters for sale appear in the goods section??
I know its great getting Posters at gigs, but you just got to remember its a rock concert. All this crap about getting in to get your poster & then going back to leave it in your car.
What if everyone decided to do this.
The place would be a mess.
I got posters at the gigs I was at and I made it in the pit for Dublin & barrier for Lisbon.
Nothing wrong with the posters now.

ebay is going to be flooded with these friggin things
i bet 75% or more of the people buying are just doing so to flip it for profit.
and 20% are doing it for trade bait
the other 5% actually were at the friggin show

You know, it wouldnt piss me off so much if I just didnt get there in time. The first night (boston) I didnt log on until 9:03 (6:03pdt) and figured I was late, which I very well may have been. But last night was different. I know there are alot of people trying to log on and get their hands on one. But when someone is on 10mins before the 'time' and then constantly refreshing, with a cable modem, and to not even get a link, then its obvious something is f'ed up with the system. Some people saw a 'sold out' link, some got the chance to buy, and most of us, saw nothing, and got nothing. After sitting on the damn computer waiting for the exact second they got listed, and to see no sign of the 'system' even working, then yes its disappointing. And youre wrong, it is a direct reflection on the 10c and even moreso a reflection on the way the band handles things.0 -
For the those that didn't get the poster because the link didn't come up, and are whining about how 10c runs things, keep in mind that it seems it was completely random in whether or not any individual member got the link or not when . That does not make it "unfair", as each person had the same shot. It makes you "unlucky". Luck plays a big role here, whether you got the link or not, as you could have clicked on it only to see it sold out, like many others. I feel for you, though.0
