anybody have any idea of a website that shows ticket sales figures past or present? i'd love to know the percentages of unsold seats in each market...i'd bet the south holds its own...

i wonder if this isn't just the latest talking point....first, through jeff they were wistfully confused....we're not playing places we should be....so now it's somehow due to not selling well in the south? hogwash!

    prove it.

i can't patronize the band if i wanted to (even if i overlooked the obvious 'fuck you' they seem to be giving us) because i couldn't afford to travel so far, especially without knowing that if i wanted to see them at all i'd have to travel to do so

and yes, now i'm really starting to see it as an intentional skip. the thread about stone's chat and there's another one about when's the last time pearl jam didn't sell out a show that includes the gorge and australia and others.....kinda says it all to me. some of the australia shows are only HALF SOLD. hauling all your shit to australia on a 16 hour plane flight can't possibly be more economically beneficial than hauling it a few hours down south on 8 or 10 trucks for some shows that are more like 90% sold out

Although doanting to a good cause is nice, We shouldn't have to do that in order to get shows down here. That's ridiculous. If the rest of the country didn't have to do it...why should we have to fulfill certain requirements in order to get SOME shows? Know what I mean? :o

Our 10C membership renewals year after year should be enough "requisite" to get shows down here :(

Not a donation just to get a show but to help the cause because we are responsible. We want the guys to play and we want them to play a sold out show? Sold out shows mean a lot of traveling people and a lot of potential damage is created. I know the south is home to ALOT of fans. I was just thinking this is such an important cause to the boys and they are an important part of our lives. If that is a major reason in not touring the south lets help out. A donation not an automatic fee tacked on. I love the boys and want a show, if this is a major piece in the decision to not come here I will do my part to help offset. It was just an idea. I think it's total bullshit that this band doesn't play anywhere near the south. I was fucking fortunate to see them in Denver, because I'm a college student and I could afford the time off. But fuck! For a band that's quote unquote for the fans the excuse of not selling out large venues is quite shitty. My outlook of this band has been damaged severely. Fuck sell outs, you sell outs! This band deserves no creditbility at all! They're like, dare I say, politicians that don't visit states because they know they're going to get thier ass handed to them in that respective state. For a band for the people, this band carries a way to large chip on thier shoulder. How dare they take a geographic portion of the U.S. because it typically doesn't sell. Here's something for them, Kat, and whoever to see. Bands that are currently better than Pearl Jam:
    (1) Death Cab for Cutie
    (2) Radiohead
    (3) The Strokes
    (4) Foo Fighters
    (5) Red Hot Chili Peppers
    (6) White Stripes

The quote from Stone.....we could all be taking it out of context. Maybe he was referring to playing Louisiana, where let's face it, things are not back to normal and they probably would have a tough time selling out. If 10C can't announce something yet about a Southern tour, Stone sure isn't going to say something on a public interview. It just isn't logical to me that THIS BAND would pick some "reason" to "ban the South". For whatever reason, they skipped us, and the midwest, first time around. I'm still holding faith that they'll come around in '07. If 07 passes and they haven't....THEN IM GOING TO BE PISSED OFF BIG TIME!! In the meantime, I'm trying to keep my cool until we know something definite.

Here's a big FU for Stone's comments about not selling well in the South. Play smaller venues you freaking moron you still have a large contigency of fans here. Save on the environment by not having to make all the fans from the South travel across the U.S. or the world to see a show. I will guarantee everything I have that West Palm would out sale both Cinci, Grand Rapids, Albany, etc etc for god sake's you guys sunk low enough to play a seedy casino in Atlantic City why not the dirty South
