    Since 2000, Pearl Jam has been traveling by airplane on tour in the United States and Canada (including VFC). We all know they are very earth-concious and only do this because touring in one's late thirties and early forties over that many miles is very hard. We also know they have started to offset these emissions.

    The band charters a British Aerospace 111, a former airliner, for the tour. There are two that have been used, but one more than the other. The tail number for the most often used BAC-111 is coincidentially similar to a line in the Pearl Jam song "Faithful".

    What is that tail number?

    i've been all over google too. i saw something about howard dean using a BAC-111 known as "pearl jam one" back in 04, but the numbers didnt sound like a line out of the song to me.

    Yea that's exactly how I am. I'd much rather go to an amphitheater or something. Hell even Ozzfest is in amphitheaters. Must be cheaper to put on a show in an empty field though.

    I was upset that my husband is going to be in Lisbon when they are playing there (and I'm not), until I found out it was a festival. I'll wait.

    Festivals are like pup tent camping... I don't do it anymore.

    Yeah.......had to go pick up the new Neil Young archive release....and Daystar wanted some R.E.M. (after staying up late last night to watch their induction.) I also had a harder time than expected locating the DVD set for "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" Season Two Volume Two. Have not listened to the Neil Young disc.....in a serious Drive-by Truckers mood in the car.

    Wading in the sea is both fun and refreshing.......wading in a sea of people basically sucks, especially if half of the sea has had way more than they could handle of the alcohol. It's not my idea of a good time.
