    radio guys hear stuff from local venues, record company reps, and promoters. they also look at band/fan club websites for prep. they also hear rumors from callers. sometimes, if they hear bits and pieces enough times about the same band, they'll say "i'm hearing some rumors about this band doing this or that, i'll look into it...". of course, most people tune out the dj's, and usually misunderstand or only hear part of what the jock said, and run with it. i'm not saying this is necessarily the case here, but unless they give you an actual date, it's just hearsay.

    i don't work for the rock station anymore, so i don't hear as much rock stuff as i used to. i do still work at other stations for the same company, though, and i also work at the two venues in town (rbc and alltel). usually people tell me stuff without me asking them cuz they know i'm a long-time pj freak....but i'll put out requests for info....

    saw you had a little pissing match with someone on the board and then disapeared....glad your back....and don't don't don't loose hope...PJ knows what's up....and the way I see it...they're trying to milk touring right now....so its a hell of a lot easier to cruise to the Southern US than go over seas.....sooooo I still have hope. Also it just makes sense.......they play some shows down here.....and the northerners come down. It will happen....
