No, and I'm sorry I missed it! am waiting for a youtube clip to be posted. There is a thread about a girl that met Ed after the show with a picture. He did look good.(albeit, tired)

Just checking in from the booby hatch (work) to see what's up. Looks quiet right now.... hmmmmmm. Missed the induction last night - I have basic cable. Too bad, I would have liked to have heard what Ed had to say.

I stayed up late to watch it. Ed was as cool as ever and gave a great speech. Easily the highlight of the night.

yes, i missed most of his actual speech, just caught the end where he inducted the band. he said he wished it could have been kurt cobain standing there inducting them instead of him, which i thought was cool. when michael stipes was giving his acceptance speech, he thanked Eddie for his music too. then Ed sang on Man in the Moon with REM and came out at the end with everybody and sang People Have the Power by Patti Smith. He played guitar on that one also. i only caught the end of the program, it was 4 hours long, not sure i could have sat thru it all, but the end was sweet!

i see somone started a play the north thread, what a great idea! at this point, a show on the east coast or even in the midwest would be doable for me!

I know that is what is wrong with me. Played tennis last night and then stayed up to watch the inductions. No matter how much coffee I drink I can't wake up.

Maybe today is the day? I thought it was kind of odd that they moved the poster sale from the usual day (Tuesday) to Monday...maybe something is coming today?

I'll lend you my single to listen to:)

Fund raising... I THINK we are letting JTR take the lead with that - (at least in giving us some direction and clearing it with the band) and then we'll have to find some organizers... and then launch the effort.

However, I think we need to see the actual tour schedule and pick a show if it will be an onsite gig (loads of fun!).

For the Denver CCFA we had folks in the south and Canada doing the organizing (interfacing with CCFA, getting info, etc), a guy in Denver doing the collecting (donated goods) and input from other Denver folks on location and advertising. Then we all met for the party/shows. I was just a donater and helper, and provided shipping for various items for the organisers - but it was an awesome time.

We don't necessarily have to go that route, and we can scale it to what we are capable of, do something local instead of at the show, whatever you all come up with... but we will need some dedicted folks.

Anyone have any ideas? Stepping up to the plate?
(as I turn and run for the hills :))

I meant that Corduroy isn't usually an opener.

OK, forgot to post the trivia question, thanks for reminding me!

Since 2000, Pearl Jam has been traveling by airplane on tour in the United States and Canada (including VFC). We all know they are very earth-concious and only do this because touring in one's late thirties and early forties over that many miles is very hard. We also know they have started to offset these emissions.

The band charters a British Aerospace 111, a former airliner, for the tour. There are two that have been used, but one more than the other. The tail number for the most often used BAC-111 is coincidentially similar to a line in the Pearl Jam song "Faithful".

    What is that tail number?

(if someone gets this then I will burp via e-mail)

And yes, my spell check correctly, but incorrectly, misspelled "Faithfull".
