Jimmy's appearance on the dvd where is performing Black Mountain Side is just mind-boggling, and my second favorite part of the whole dvd. The favorite, for me is Bonham's 19 minute solo. He pours his soul into that.

    Mojo

Yea, I was just in awe for both those parts of the DVD. Definitely my two favorite parts right now.

Its an ok song, not one of my favorites. I think the best part of the song is when it gets faster in the middle.
Its not a bad song by any means, I just have to be in the right mood, for it.

Edit: What do you like about it?

Maybe. I see something like Rock n' Roll being a more likely cover for PJ, but what do I know? They play some crazy covers. Anyway, I'm out for the night. Peace.

I'd love to see them cover something like Living Loving Maid, or Misty Mountain Hop. That would be very cool :D

yeah true, or even Fool In The Rain. They made a good attempt at it with Robert Plant at that gig a couple of years back

Misty Mountain Hop happens to be one of my least favorite Zeppelin Songs, so I kind of hope not. But, I agree, they could probably do a mean cover of Living Loving Maid.

Just listening to Presence. This album is entirely underrated I believe. It has so many freakingly good songs:

    Achilles Last Stand
    For Your Life
    Candy Store Rock
    Nobody's Fault but Mine
    Tea is for One

This really is one hell of an album.

Jimmy's best guitar album. The performance of For Your Life at the December gig was fantastic, better than the album version. One of my favourite Zep albums, its criminal that its so underrated

Let's resurrect this thread...I'm looking back at some great bands that I have 'best of's' and I'm wanting to purchase actual albums.

Looking at buying Quadrophenia, Paul's Boutique, amongst others.

Now this will be an impossible question to answer. What Zep's album/s should I buy??

List three that you rate in order.

Reading this thread Physical Graffiti is well recommended and LedZep 4 is the often talked about classic.

Houses over Zeppelin III for me. And as much as I love Physical Graffiti, if I'm responding to someone that actually has to ask the question "which Zep albums should I buy?", I'd have to recommend the fourth album over Physical Graffiti. Or not. I dunno. They're all pretty great. I look forward to the PG reissue next month.

If you're just getting into Zeppelin, Mothership is one of the better "best ofs" I've heard with their full sound represented, but I'd really push you to get the BBC Sessions to learn the band, unless you're set on proper albums, in which case maybe try doing what I didn't: proceed in the proper order of release.
