it all sounds dire except long gone, thats a little bit okay, i mean a weeny bit.. but the "music" is just so off putting.
Off-ensive is more like it.

Any guess on how his shows with Timbaland are gonna work? Chris and his band with Timbaland just gangsta waving and yelling "Go Chris" or "you my boy" during the songs? Will he open for Timbaland? Does Timbaland rap or does he have a full song? Could "Scream" be an opener for the real show? Too many questions for me to spend 32$ on a ticket which is 20$ less than the July HOB show that barely sold half.
I really feel sorry for the band, those guys are good. It must suck to have to play that shit , for a paycheck. Do you guys think Chris may have wanted to go hip-hop so he wouldn't need a band in the future. I would assume that if "Run Through the Desert" starts touring and having any success , they would dump Chris immediately. You know they aren't getting rich with Cornell's money grubbing management. 1000-2000 people @ 32$/ticket is not a big take to split between CORNELL/Timbaland and "the little people". Im guessing Chris thinks when "this blows up" he can tour arenas by himself , no band and grab all the cash for himself.

The article says he'll only play Scream on these shows, no older songs.

Damn. That is 1,000,000,000,000 times better than anything I've heard off Scream. But it begs a freakin' ginormous question in my mind. Why oh why release an album like Scream when you can do this? Why?

This song is so good. I now almost remember why I was a CC fan in the 1st place. If he did an album full of songs like this I would be very happy.

I think it's probably a 'secret' song at the end of the album since it's been noted that all songs blend in together. Plus the film reel sound at the end of 'Watch Out' suggests that's the last track on the album.
He should definatley do an album in that ilk tho, fuck me that was a good song. Need a good quailty MP3 of that for my Ipod.
My god that's the best thing I've heard from him since EM. See Chris, there is a way to add new elements to your sound (organ/harmonica) without selling your fucking soul!
Still has the cheesyness. "Boing!" It is a better song, though, more down Chris' alley. This is the kind of R&B I expected him to do, not Timberlake styled.
It's either a bonus track or something that is going to be clipped as a B-Side. But I'm sure someone's already said that.

I disagree...on the cheesiness part...this song is a basic blues tune...which is my dream album from CC. That voice and some great guitar on a bunch of blues songs. One can only dream. I think this song is awesome and thanks to a "forum pal" I was able to get it on my iPod and blast it in the car on the way to my son's guitar lessons....my little Stevie Ray in the making. lol Seriously, this is a very good song and it has to be new because his voice is mind-blowingly good on it. Could this possibly be on the new album? It's so radically different than that other crap, but also there's that outra on "scream" that's pretty good and supposedly each song moves into the next, so maybe there is hope after all. I need some reason to buy this album....maybe this will be it!
Gonna rise up....burning black holes in dark memories. Gonna rise up....turning mistakes into gold.

I'm not saying the song isn't good, it just has some of the production touches in it. Like the "Boing!" I mentioned, it shows up a few times at the starts of verses, I think.
This is more along the lines of what I was hoping for from this, kinda a hope against hope. Watch Out was more along the lines of what I expected.
LOL, the thing that sucks is, if this is a bonus track, you have to buy the album to hear it. I'd pay for this particular song if it was on ITunes as its own.

Same here. Its long been documented that CC is a fan of old r&b. I was hoping a collaboration with Timbaland might build off that, and give us something along the lines of this "hidden" track. But the rest of it has turned out how I feared.
Like I said of Safe and Sound on Carry On, an album of songs like this would be great. May be some future album...
Adding: Watch Out should probably be the single, I can see my 10 year old step-daughter dancing to this. And lyrically, its like a Pink song. LOL - it is shocking to hear this then play any SG. I have a feeling though, that Watch Out may be the song least likable to my rock tastes and this may actually be an enjoyable album. Not to the degree of anything Pre-Carry ON... but enjoy it still.
damn... just when i was comfortable hating him... where does this song play into anything else off the album?? this doesnt change anything chris!!! but nice song...

Nice find - and yeah, it's infinitely better than anything else we've heard - it's nice to hear his voice without all the stupid effects.
This is amazing! There's still hope!
Can anyone rip this?

I wasn't first to find it but I'll take the credit.
I'm trying my best!

what is it? a song rejected off scream for being good?
it reminds me a bit of four walled world.

Gimme five minutes and I should be able to sort it out, I've just managed to split the file so we can get rid of Watch Out! PM me if you want it
