bobbytard , maybe if you saw Cornell live you would have a clue. 99% of the comments I have read support me and the 4 shows I have seen in the past year and a half. Cornells voice might be the best its ever been. Thats why people are so upset over his new crap. As the late, great Bill Hicks would say, "Chris Cornell is officially off the artistic payroll."

He didn't sell out to a mega corporation or a brand, but he did reach a new artistic low to get more listeners/buyers of his music, which, in simplest definition, is selling out. I understand taste in music is subjective, up to the listener, to each their own, but come on, Timbaland andthe Pussycat Dolls (along with some douchebag band I never heard of)? Absolutely unforgivable. I knew Chris was heading down the wrong direction after doing the Casino Royale soundtrack, but this shit?

I hope Eddie has enough integrity to put a clause in the PJ contract that says if he ever drunkenly agrees to a stupid act like CC did on Fashion Rocks, the other five (Bam included) can hook his nuts up to a car battery and torture his ass Tarantino style.

CC has no fucking excuse.

yah... he was an alcoholic... i never heard anything about heroin... i could see him doing some trendier drugs now though... maybe cocaine or x with his model friends... theres no other defense for the erratic behavior and empty look in his eyes

and I am quite certain he hasn't! I think I remember most of the drugs he's said he's done, and H isn't one of them. He's said he had his biggest problem with OxyContin (oxycodone hydrochloride). It's sometimes known as 'hillbilly heroin', maybe that's where the confusion is creeping in. They both have a very similar effect though, so it is a little nit-picking to argue the point...oh...er...

As much as he has changed, he doesn't really need any sort of excuse....at the end of the day, he can do whatever he pleases.

Oh stick around. It doesn't concern me one way or the other. Just something I once heard from someone who once worked for him. Nothing I can prove, nor does it affect my perception of him. Hell, I've done every drug under the sun.

And for 1992 add about 12 more stars. That is when BMF was out, pre-Black Hole Sun of course. Saw three shows in '92 and that period was definitely the crowning moment of his career
