So are we assuming this will be a FULL set, or a short festival-like set?
Well, considering the price and the fact that it's JUST Pearl Jam (as far as we know) - coupled with the fact that it's members-only tells me that it may be MORE than a normal set list. Perhaps an acoustic sit down, followed by a full normal concert?
In any case, I'm EXPECTING just a normal show. It's more than worth it for such a small venue. Anything extra will just be a real nice surprise.
Are we getting something out of this all-encompassing trip?
It will be a night that any PJ fan would want to be at. Good Luck to all and if I don't get a ticket I expect full reports.

So, you're coming too Hinny? We need that mullet over there!
Nah, the flight from Sydney to Chicago and back costs too much, and I completely destroyed my bank account after Europe. Would've gone if I had another month to save up.

I'll either have an extra ticket or will need an extra ticket!! I have already changed my flight and hotel - NEED TICKET BAD.

What is the deal on going alone to this show. I know that me getting a ticket is a long shot but if I am successfull, I don't have anyone that will come with me from Winnipeg. Will I be able to sell my other ticket? Are they giving tickets or wrist bands for this show. How easy will it be for me to get rid of my other ticket there? Will the person that I go to the show will have to be there when I pick up the tickets. Please help.

There are already a dozen threads pleading to be your ticket buddy out on this board if you're lucky enough to get them. People are giving up their homes and family members so you shouldn't have any problems having a "date" for the show.
Also for folks questioning how many friends/industry/family folk will be there, the Vic has three (I think three) private balconies on each side of the venue that can fit about 20 people each. Most family/industry sit there. The nice thing is I doubt the press folks (especially Greg Kot who wrote Pearl Jam is the act you can skip at Lolla) will be allowed in.
The Vic has a large floor area with a lower area near the stage and a slightly elevated area behind that with bars, soundboard etc. The place to be though is to get upstairs fast and get a near row of the balcony. I have done this many times for Wilco. Best seats in the house, best sound etc. It is one of the best venues I've been to and I used to be a music critic.

I don't know I can't remember. We could drive down together if you like. Are you going to try to get tickets? Are you going to fly? I would be game to go together, email me pjrocksmb@hotmail.com if you get tickets or to ask me the same. This could work out great.
Yea, yea I know. And these guys deserve it if anyone does...they are the best live band out there and generally do very good things with their money...but could you imagine if someone told you in 1995 that you'd pay $75 for a non beneit pearl jam show? hell, I wouldnt have believed them if I heard it in 2002. But you I'll still be on here trying to get them

how do you know what they do with their money.... I am sure they have some crazy investments and others stuff, think of the piles of cash all of them have

I am speaking of the charity donations that they tell us about via the website, sir or ma'am. I don't claim to know anything except that and what I do know is enough to know that they donate money to socially conscious causes. How did you not know about these donations is my question for you. And if you do know why would you make such a silly post towards me that makes me look naive?
Is anyone else just a waste of space at work right now?
Totally utterly and completely. Unfortunately, a delayed project has finally been sent to me, so this isn't the best time to zone. I'm not really working that differently, though. My entire department is rooting for me to get tickets, though

Sounds like a silly question, doesn't it? Well, better safe than sorry. I e-mailed this very question to them and they responded by saying the would, in fact, be in the "tickets" section.

I'd rather kick up $100 to the band directly than giving $100 to a scalper for a $50 ticket.

I am definitely really excited about this show, but at the same time a little bummed that tickets are so expensive....
$75 each is not that bad, for a small venue, The Fucking Stones charge $200 for a stadium!!
