Anyone have a favorite youtube Springsteen video?

A co-worker just won tickets to the show on Saturday and is just going to give them away. I'm trying to convince her to go herself by showing her a great video on youtube.

well, off shortly to my final show for a while out in the swamps of jersey.

if not the opener for night 3, i hope to be fortunate enough to at least hear Lucky Town, and somewhere in the set Land Of Hopes And Dreams tonight.

    peace.

Maybe one of you here can help me with this.

I signed up for Backstreets in order to post on the message board. I got the "Welcome" email, but I have to wait for another one from the administrator apparently in order to start posting.

Several weeks have passed and I haven't gotten that email. What should I do?

This has got to put a smile on anyone's face- "Waitin' on a sunny day":

I also really like this one- "Long Time Comin":

I just love the way he leans away from the mic to make his voice seem distant and then much nearer during the warm chorus. It is much better totally stripped down as well.

Actually, I should have been more specific - it was for the BTX Boards on Backstreets. But I just tried to log in there and it worked!

Maybe they just needed to conduct a background check...

I just read online that Bruce did a solo version of "You're Missing" on SNL a while back and was wondering if anyone had a link to a video or mp3 of it?

It was an amazing show!! Thought MSG II would have been the longest show I saw this year but this took it to another level 3 1/2 hours! The show didn't start until 9:30 becasue of an accident on the Jersey Turnpike that kept the Stadium half filled until after 9 (My wife got there a little early for some tailgaiting).

Anyway, the best show I have ever seen him do. I think this was my 6th or 7th show and always in NY/NJ, but he just did not let up last night. A lot of songs I had never seen before live.

As he has been doing at the stadium, takes posters from audience and switching up the middle of the show for some rare ones.

    Tonights audibles

    Blinded ! (Which was amazing!)
    Incident
    Cadillac Ranch
and at the end Jersey Girl (got a slow dance in with my lady!)

    Ending with Rosie was amazing!

Show ended at 1 AM, got home at 2 AM, was in the office by 7:30. I am exhausted.

    On to EV on Tuesday!

You shouldn't be bummed at all. You have a good shot at getting EV at the show.

Plus there was so much that was not played and he has been repeating some obscure stuff.

i wish to god they would stop already with marys place. ( and mix up the 2 songs from the rising please-Lonesome Day and The Rising--- how about Empty Sky or Into The Fire ? )

of course this Marys Place hatred is just selfish and because of how many times ive gone thru that routine,..
it seems to be a crowd pleaser night in and night out

but for me it seemed to take the wind out of the sails at all 3 of the GS shows- especially the final 3 shows at GS, IMO .

only 53 different songs for 3 nights ?

    tsk tsk bruce

PS- what happened to " Gypsy Biker " ?

off the new album,.....that song is brilliant !

Mary's Place is lame. so is Into The Fire. you're right about You're Missing. what about Worlds Apart (that killed on The Rising tour), Nothing Man, Paradise, My City Of Ruins, Empty Sky...etc.?

well, as big as fans we both clearly and knowingly are , shows that opinions vary.

the timing of the release of the rising , the subject content, and the overall musicianship and content of the live performance of Into The Fire sends shivers down my spine everytime , and, to quote you and bruce even more, its worlds apart from being " Lame " , IMO .

Of course I always think of close personal friends that were running Up The stairs that day ( and never came down ), so im sure the literal sense of the song shines thru for me also .

good show the other night, albiet soaking wet. little latin lupe lu was great. had a side view of the stage, so that sucked. next time...GA. another late start, so they closed the bottled beer lines after about 4 songs.

agree with mary's place, although i do like the song. i just wish he'd not do the long-ass intro to it with CC...the crowd was ready to begin with. maybe it was me, but the song sounded a bit off on some of the songs...or the band was out of key. anyway, great energy, especially if you were in the GA or in the front.
I love to turn you on

I absoutely love "Into The Fire" and "You're Missing" but I think they're tied too closely to 9/11 for them to work in the context of the Magic tour. Sure, there aren't too many specific references to the event and they can be universal (the beauty of a lot of Springsteen songs) but I still don't think they would have 'fit.'

you can get Poor Man and Bring 'Em Home on the Seeger Sessions reissue. American Skin studio version was never officially released. i have the studio cut but it's almost exactly the same as the version on the Live in NYC cd. if you really want it i can upload it for you.

hey Bath, i understand the subject matter and message behind "Into The Fire", i just don't think it's that great of a song. it always seemed like a lull on The Rising to me. not too crazy about "The Fuse" either.. and "Let's Be Friends" is just horrid. but that's me! no hard feelings.

I would be interested in that studio version if it isn't too much trouble. I'm trying to re-track "The Rising" and cut some of the fat from it.

I was at the 3 Jersey Shows and Foxboro. I recognize Bathgate66 from the Bruce fan board ( I am aka Maria's Bed)

Mary's Place does not have to be played every night - he did it on the Rising tour, not to complain but time to mix it up even more and play more stuff off Tracks!!!

I am looking forward to Hershey, MO shows and the finale in Milwaulkee at the Harley festival. Should be great- I just heard Alejandro Escovedo is warming up- I am fine with that I am looking forward to it.
