As much as I love The Woods it still doesn't top One Beat...that album converted me from a casual S-K fan to an absolute fanatic.

I've been listening to What's Yours is Mine here lately.

I know a lot of folks aren't fans of the ladies, but they rock out.

Since the Woods was released, I have managed to convince 7 of my friends that Sleater-Kinney rock the proverbial casbah. As far as I'm aware, that now increases their Irish fanbase to...

    8.

    Damn. :)

hey, not bad though...at least you are converting your friends :D Good job;)

I haven't had a chance to see them live yet, but will at Borgata. I'm looking forward to formulating my own opinion.

I think they have great stage presence*and amazing songs. They get a bad reputation because of their stage-sharing encores with Pearl Jam.

Their songs are great. You'll be impressed.

HUGE fan here. i've seen them live a bunch of times. they blew me away when i saw them a month or so ago. anything off the woods is ridiculous live.

i'll admit that they aren't for everyone, but i don't get the repeated bashing. i mean, you don't like them, say it once and move on...if you're going to a show where they are opening, show up a little late or just hang out far away from the stage when they are on...

What kind of stuff did they play in concert. I admit, I am excited to see them twice this year. Are they mainly sticking to The Woods?

the SK bashing here is just ridiculous but you have to remember that the average PJ fan that obsesses over on the porch is still stuck in 1992 ;)

    My sentiments EXACTLY! :D

Talk about PURE energy at their shows...and I LOVE seeing them live b/c you know you are going to get an intimate show..being like 4 ft. away from Corin and Janet was mindblowing for me.:) I hope I get to see these girls soon.:)

For you all Sleater-Kinney fans, who haven't been to a show of theirs recently, check out this live performance from Vancovuer, it does sound like they are playing a lot of material from The Woods...so check it out:D

I just got a copy of the woods it is my first album purchase of any of their music and man it is really cool. I am impressed i did not get any of their old cd's or the new one when it came out becasue when i saw them live truthfully i thought they were okay but nothing special, but after reading so many good things about the woods.... It is really cool.

I like the entire album and there are probably better songs but Jumpers is really infectious. I can't get it out of my head. I saw a video for entertain last night on my on demand station called Havoc it was pretty cool.

They did a knock-out version of it on Letterman, and an even better one at the Variety Playhouse there in Hotlanta. What a road trip!
