You have to really see it in person to fully appreciate the raised matting technique that he uses.

    Amazing job!!!

Given that he is in Portland and I am in Toronto I thought this would be the only one I'd have him do for me but this is well worth the worry of the poster getting damaged in transit (before or after) and putting up with the shipping time. It was well worth the wait and the worries.

    :)
Yep, he does an awesome job. I love the ones he's done for me and wish I'd found him sooner - lol. :)

Edit: Note for anyone in Canada who is considering using him but is hesitant: the shipment arrived via FedEx and I was not charged a cent of customs/duty on it, which I wish I could say for shipments all of the posters I receive from the US ...

    Hey BeerBaron,

Nice Job on the Gorge 06 and happy to see you got your Toronto 1998. (is it s/n).

Wish I could get something framed (Hawaii 07, Borgotta) by Master Framer.....I emailed him, sent him PM's......he never answered!

I'm surprised that he never responded to your PMs or e-mails. He was always quick to respond to me, even before we did business together.

Try again, maybe it was just bad timing.

    I sure will!

Does he use real glass or is it some sort of plexy. What about the packaging?

he uses plexi. it took me 2 tries to hear back from him, so it may have just been bad timing.

The blue is the bottom mat. I tried to match it with the blue in the poster as best I could.

Yup - plexi. He normally uses real glass but when they have to be shipped he uses Plexi to avoid the headaches with FedEx in the event that the glass breaks and he has to make an insurance claim.

The packaging was very good. He made sure it did not get damaged in transit.

His prices are also better than you are going to get from any framing store, at least the ones I have looked at.

I sent you a PM today.

Has anybody framed or seen a framed '06 Italy? I haven't even seen one framed, so I'm asking for thoughts.

I'm thinking a simple black mat and black frame... thanks

pictures still sucks. u cant really tell but the dusseldorf i went with a black frame and the shade of brown in the upper portion of the print as my top matt.

and the camden i went with a cobalt blue frame.

ya that's why im gonna try american frame and buy glass locally to keep costs down. if i was any good at making the angled cuts i'd try to make the frames myself, but oh well.

buy a miter box at home depot for about $10 and you'll get a perfect 45 degree angle everytime
