Here's my framed DC and Hawaii Brad Klausen posters. I like both of them very much.

The DC is framed with two mats, one white and the other the grey color of the planes and dog tags. I know the black mat looks very good, but I went with the grey to pull out the grey color in the poster. The frame is a grey metal frame.

    DC:

The Hawaii is framed without any mats. Honestly, after a hour in the shop, trying every idea conceivable, I really didn't like anything with mats and didn't think the poster needed any. I went with a brown wood frame with yellow hints within it. It compliments the art very nicely and the detail of the frame is very much like swirls, so it looks good with the wave image.

that d.c. frame job makes the print even scarier then it already is. perhaps a bit too much black.

The Hawaii looks great! Im planning to frame mine as soon it arrives, and I will probably go with no mat. Is your hawaii against the glass? Is there better for the poster to have some air between the glass as it does with a mat?

ALWAYS keep the glass off your art, whether that be with a mat or with spacers...

Finally framed my Vic poster. Did it myself. Looks really nice although I had rather have had the frame specially sized for it. Its a 50/70 now...just didnt have the money ;)

Now I framed it perfectly straight. I measured it all and it is perfect...however, when you look at it it looks slant (is that the right word for it?). Is that the influence of the artwork itself maybe?
I looked at the pics of some other framed Vic posters and they seem to do the same thing.

Is it just me? And no even though I am Dutch I have not smoked weed since I was a teenager...:D
Why not be mediocre and be the best at it that you can be?

looks like when it was rolled it got creased some how, then that crease transfered to each "roll" of the print. Take it back and see if they can put it in the heat press to try and flatten it a bit... the only other option is to dry mount it but that dings the value a bit... but if you plan to keep it forever and not sell it. Dry mount it

I rememeber seeing ppl at the shows with posters rolled up quite small and holding them tightly....

I have some posters between sheets of melamine and today I was getting a poster out and I lifted of the sheets of melamine and there was a silverfish on the bottom side of the melamine...

I also found $40 there too...:) I forgot I put it there several months ago..:)

this particular show was so small that they sold tickets for the posters before hand and then the posters were redeemed after... and maybe i was mistaken about the rain... i must be thinking of a different show this summer :) (there were many)

Lolla and Klausen looks awesome, great framing job but Ames frame is too thin and small I think.
I like bigger and heavy frames :)

    Anyone have Borgata framed????

Finally got around to posting this for you. Simple black top mat, the pink mat is reverse beveled, and there are spacers between the print and pink mat that give the mats a shadowed look similar to the shadows in the image. I really couldn't be happier with the way it came out.
