Still no word from Brad Klaussen, Guess he doesn't return emails. I did some searching of my own and I found this - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7584975416&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1

Does that look a little familiar?
Check through my photobucket and look at the test print, there are close ups on the second page of my HOB test print.
    http://photobucket.com/albums/f266/locolion/

That's probably why Brad didn't return my email, Looks to me like that is a Emek poster used for the HOB test print. Hummm?? Plagerism??
    - Hey Brad, drop me a email please.

I got each frame from Michael's craft store at a 40% off sale so each frame cost $30 and I just bought black construction paper and cut it out as a matte....

frames are both for 18"x24" pictures and are the Home Images line.

Did you make sure to get acid-free construction paper? If not, it could end up altering the color of the posters.

I think good frames are like good umpires. When they are doing a good job, you don't notice them at all.

NO I didn't get acid free.... i just got whatever they had for like $1.50...

its not like these things are from the 1800's and I need to preserve them for 10 lifetimes... I just want the shit on the wall and to look good.

Chill. No one said you have to preserve them for 10 lifetimes. Or even a single one. It was more of a suggestion than anything. And truthfully, acid-free paper is not a whole lot more than regular.
Truth is, you never know what's going to happen in life, and if it comes down to a point where you truly need the money you'd make off the poster (it happens, I don't care how much anyone says "I'll never sell mine! blah blah), you wouldn't be able to get anything for a poster with four very faded edges (it doesn't take long at all...have you ever seen a bulletin board in a school where the letters/pictures have been taken down, and you see a ridiculous contrast between where they were and what was around them?).
Again, it was just a suggestion.

Thanks for the suggestion. I was actually thinking of buying construction paper this past weekend. I found 3 frames that aren't bad at all I don't think and they were under $50.00 for all 3. I was thinking of getting a bacground for the Vegas one at least http://photobucket.com/albums/f68/murphyjesus/Pearl%20Jam%20posters/
Now that I know about the acid free ones I'll opt for that.

getting this one in the mail tomorrow for the gorge. should be money bags. Love how you can use the site and dowload the artwork from expressobeans inot this site. Also, you can even change the wall color to see how it will contrast on your wall.

No need to chill on my part 13PJ13-C-3PO,

I wasn't attacking you at all even though the tone of my text may have been mis-read... but good point about the school board.

Just got AC back from the framers. Took a risk and matched a pink frame to offset the poster.

my posters, still have to frame borgota, mexico, philly and the gorge, as well i have the slc95 framed but don't have a pic in the album, might use mattes for my last 4 but i haven't used them on the others so might be best to stick with the custom frames...

    Because no one has offered:

The poster are available at the merch tables at the venue on the day of the individual show. Not every show they have played has one, but it has become more consistant especially in the 2003 tour. There were several different UK posters for 1996 and 2000. They average between $20-30 and generally you want to hit the tables before the band starts cause they often times sell out.

Sometimes after a tour, the tenclub will offer fan club members the chance to buy posters they may have missed on the past tour, like they did this past December with all the 2005 posters. Limited quantities, 1 per member, untill supplies lasts (hot posters last 15 min!).

Ebay, or trading sites are your best bet outside official channels.

check expressobeans.com under Pearl Jam to see a database of posters and their relative value.

Amazingly that pink frame looks nice.. well done.

I also really like the Gorge - You have skills

edit: that pink frame is so cool, I am considering it for myself... are you happy with it in person?

I was worried about it once I dropped it off - would it look right, colors match, etc. Surprisingly, it brings out the pink in the poster much better than I thought. It looks amazing in person. Posted some more pics with better lighting.

Here are a couple pictures of my pink Borgata. The pink isn't a perfect match, but I really like it.

    http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y216/mastersofwar/d14591db.jpg

Note: Some of the pictures make it look like the poster isn't hanging straight, but that is because I don't know how to hold a camera properly. It was hard to get the lighting right, so the first picture is probably a little too dark.

Here are some pictures of my Gorge that I still need a little help with. Does anybody have an idea if this stain could be easily removed, or if I'm just screwed?

It doesn't look horrible from a distance, but it's more noticeable than that last picture lets on.

That is a tough call. Does the mark seem raised, like dried ink, or is it smooth? You might try using a scumex pad to see if it will lift the mark up or soften it. Scumex pads are used to remove graphite smudges. I would really consider trying to live with the mark because you don't want to chance causing some really noticeable damage. I don't think that it looks bad. Good luck.

I forgot to tell you that I think your Borgata looks incredible. Your's is the best that I have seen here. You did a great job with it.

That "stain" looks an awful lot like Eddie's face, don't you think? If the virgin mary can show up as a stain on a wall outside a Tim Horton's donut shop in Halifax, then Eddie can show up on a poster! You got yourself a little gem there! Hang onto it...it might be worth millions one day -- or people will show up at your door by the hundreds, just to have a look!

    Cheers!

I know this has probably been discussed somewhere in this thread but does the type of matte matter that much? The four types on americanframe.com are described as good, good, better, and best with the better and best ones being 100% acid-free. I know acid-free is the best but what about the one with the acid-free core and backing? Is that any good? There are some really cool colors in that one that aren't in the other two. Thanks.
