Well I finally got around to framing my first poster, and I'm very happy with how it turned out considering I did it myself. It's the Munk One S/N print from the EV show in MPLS. Thanks garland09 for the great print!

My first do-it-yourself frame job, using materials ordered on american frame (thanks to all on here who refer there!)
I think it turned out pretty good. The frame is a mahogoney; double matted with a slightly off white on top and a coffee bean brown underneath.

    IMG_2275-1.jpg

I had originally decided to do all black framing on my posters, but this one I am pretty sure is going to end up in my bedroom, so the wood tone looks nice with my furniture. I have it in the living room for now so I can enjoy it a bit more for a few days :D
next up: EV Chicago 2011; night 1 and Jermaine Rogers Soldier of Peace from PJ20 (not sure if i will frame the foil "Ten Club Second Annual Rockin Poster Convention" variant version or the paper version; was leaning towards the paper version until I saw Lorna's foil above!! Gorgeous, girl!!
Nice job Kelly! Well done, looks great! ;)

As weird as this sounds I own a carwash that has a premium cigar store inside it, outside of Philly. That first poster almost fit perfectly in that dead space between those humidors. It's a nice conversation starter with customers.

The 2nd poster is inside my personal office right next to the bathroom. By law we needed to put up that awful restroom sign, even in an area which is not accessible to the general public.

Fresh from the framers. Went with purple inner matte and silver frame, thought it was a good contrast. Silver works with the moon.

I think it's called Blue Expressions and she's on Semaphore Road, the opposite end of the beach. She's really nice and she actually gets excited when I take my posters in there. :)

I think that I'm finally going to get my first poster or two framed. My mom offered to get me started for a birthday present since I didn't really need anything else. I had a revelation a few months back that I didn't need to pay the absurd prices of true custom framing to be happy with it (especially since I have so many I want framed). I'm going to basically buy decent existing frames and just get them custom matted to fit the frame. Some of them may look a bit odd since there will be so much matting (especially my first two I plan on doing - Raleigh 98 and Knoxville 98), but I promise you that it's a step up from their current state.

    very cool.

not sure whats up with the ames bros not signing the prints on the front. do it in marker if you feel like its too much the same as the s/n artist edition. bk signed everyones 1st edition in pencil which was very cool of him.

curious though, does anyone know why colby didn't sign these? did he not contribute to this print at all? were none of the designs on the print his? it would've cool if both of 'em took part in designing and had signed the artist edition...
