There's so many colors, it was tough to match mats that would go well with the whole poster. So colors match the top but not the bottom, and vice versa. I went with a basic black wood frame, black mat on top of a thin blue mat. Both mats have a white core. At first I wasn't thrilled with the result but it has grown on me. Now I like it a lot.0 -

a bunch of frames came in today. first time seeing the finished product and thought i'd share. this is one of my favorite threads, love seeing what people put together. have few other non-PJ items too (McCarthy Tree, Emek Wave, and a few pieces by an artist called Domenech). Not sure if you all want to see those, are we keeping PJ only? but if you do, i can post.
anyways, here are four PJs:
both 98s done the same way. same simple black frame and mat, variation on the inner mat. wanted some continuity between these two, plan on hanging them together somewhere.
Cleveland 98
Pittsburgh 98
out of all my pieces, the way this one turned out may be my favorite.
Cleveland 03 Ames
and lastly, got this print and got it framed for my buddy who just got engaged, had a baby, and is moving to a new place.
