But I do like your thinking and despite the lack of concrete rumours and news, it never hurts to hope.0 -
Im still saying since No Code Mike, DM is a phenomenal record and I have no idea why it's not being heralded by some as that. We do look back at times with rose tinteds, and sometimes that means stuff in the present day is unfairly judged, but this record is a beast.mcgruff10 said:
I thought their last album was their strongest since yield; it would have been nice to see it live more. I don't think asking a band who makes money performing live to play live is a lot to ask for.clemsongolfer8 said:Some of yall will never be happy with the amount of tour dates the band does nowadays. You just hate the band cause everything was better back in the day.
The band looked reenergised playing it live, and seemed to have a buzz about them. I think they were super proud of it and so they should be.
Like you, I would have loved to have seen it get the touring that backspacer and lightning bolt got.......This album was made for itPost edited by pdalowsky on0 -

I loved hearing Dark Matter live..sounded incredible and as said the band looked as pumped as I felt. I am so very proud of them for that gem of a record0

Agree. My favourite PJ album since Yield and No Code. Setting Sun, Upper Hand and Waiting for Stevie in particular some of the best songs the band has written.pdalowsky said:

I would have loved to see more Dark Matter shows, it was so good. Only got to see 3 in Europe but I feel lucky, know so many others who only had tickets to London and/or Berlin.I hope they keep the songs in rotation the next time they come over here0 -

When you read their explanation for why the 2026 member shirt has a 35 on it, it's clear they're squishy with the numberRatherStarved said:By my math PJ35 would have been in 2025. I know PJ20 was in 2011 but that was really year 21. Just saying.0 -
Which totally makes sense when you consider they weren't a band until mid-October 1990. I can see where they'd consider 1991 as the baseline for anniversaries.0

Yeah, I think it's fair game to have anniversary stuff between October 22, 1990 & August 20, 1991pjl44 said:Which totally makes sense when you consider they weren't a band until mid-October 1990. I can see where they'd consider 1991 as the baseline for anniversaries.

I dont see them touring in 2026. Maybe a new album coming out in 2026,but touring for new album Spring of 2027.0
-
This time line makes sense to me. I doubt they will tour, at least not extensively, until after they release some new music. Maybe we’ll get lucky and there will be a small run of shows toward the end of ‘26, but anything beyond that would surprise me.joseph33 said:I dont see them touring in 2026. new album in 26? I don't know. They wrote Scared of Fear in an hour and didn't get back together for a year to write more songs. My guess is 27 new album and tour0

I can only assume they go by album release date over first showRatherStarved said:By my math PJ35 would have been in 2025. I know PJ20 was in 2011 but that was really year 21. Just saying.'F*** the pessimists. F*** 'em.' Eddie Vedder0 -
We don't need a new album, non albums tours are the best.I'll ride the wave where it takes me......0

A non-album tour to debut the new drummer interests me way more than if it was a new album tour. A tour without a new album would really make it feel like anything is possible on a given night. Who knows what tracks he/she knows how to play, likes to play, etc. Some tracks that have been passed over for years maybe rise to the surface in rehearsal. It would feel like the whole catalogue is up for grabs.2014: St. Louis
2024: Wrigley II, Fenway II
2025: Hollywood II, Nashville I & II, Pittsburgh I & II0 -
I agree. And historically non-album tours have more unpredictable setlists!#Grievance20250
