Don't read too much into it.
It's about the photos. Geoff's book is coming out soon.
Someone posted that all photos are taken down low, so maybe Down Under(Australia) and West Coast with the Evel Kinevel jacket?

Could even just be an EV outing based on the images

Even the In the know crowd of rumors has come to a grinding halt! I think people took it for granted that a new drummer was already in place and everything would be back business as usual! Not with this band this isn’t the FF

Surprised there’s no rumour of an EV tour for next year. If there’s no EV or PJ next year it will be the first time for over 20 years that one of them hasn’t toured (with the exception of the Covid year)

Even with a new drummer already in place it's all a slow-moving process:

    1. A new drummer has to learn as many songs as possible as well as building on-stage chemistry with the rest of the band. They might also have other projects and commitments as many musicians in this caliber do.

    2. Planning a tour for this kind of musical act is multi-pronged and involves many stakeholders.

In other words, it will be a minute before we hear anything.

    Exactly better look towards 27!
Why tour with new drummer to play DM songs that Matt was such a big part of?
My opinion they will need new music to showcase new drummer

come on they could put josh on drums and it would be awesome / they barely practice most of their "not played every night songs" and ed butchers a ton of them

It will be interesting what direction they go with the drummer.   Will the drummer be an official member of the band?  A touring drummer? Gotta be weird to add someone new to the band that has been around for 35 years.

Me too. I don't know much of any of his music for whatever reason, but I get the sense he is still worth going to see.

Definitely an experience, he's an amazing guitarist and the full band is something to see.  Just wish he'd play more of the SW.
