I hope Matt leaving allows the show times and amount of shows to creep back up. I would go to Buenos Aires next fall/winter…just saying
I would love that, but I'd be surprised.  They've already trained the fan base to accept 23 song, 2 hr 20 min, shows, so why work harder than they need to?  But they didn't have to play 33 song sets in 2013 but chose to do it anyway, so anything is possible.
I can be untrained very quickly!

I think it’s a while before PJ tours the States.  They’ve hit the US hard since covid.
Maybe some one-offs like 2011, 2012 but I doubt they tour the States again until they have a new record.

I think South America, Canada and maybe Europe get shows before the US and that’s how they spend 2026 and / or 2027.
They can easily do 8-12 shows in SA, Canada and EU/UK.
they've played 93 times live since covid.  Of those 93 shows 60 have been in the US (12 us shows average a year since covid).  That's hardly "hard."
Check out home many shows in the US they played from 2015-2019.  2016 was the only year in there that had a proper tour of the US.

2022 and 2024 I believe had the most shows in calendar years since 2006.  That’s “going hard” by the standard they set.
yeah if you compare pearl jam to pearl jam you are absolutely right.  but how said is it that 12 shows a year on average is considered hitting the us "hard"?
Some bands do 12 shows to warm up before a big tour
You are so right.  Pearl Jam is by far my favorite band but they are such a lazy band when it comes to touring.  I mean 11 shows this past spring and that's it?!
Remember all the shows in 2024? Why do you think PJ has to tour 60+ shows every year?
I mean they played 37 shows in 2024; would you consider working 37 days in a year for a band a lot?  No one mentioned or expects 60+ shows.
They don’t just teleport around the world. A lot of travel and time away from home to do those 37 shows. Of course most of us would trade places with them but it’s not just the 2.5 hour shows that go into being in PJ.
I think we know all this but again, would you say 37 shows in a year is a lot for a band?
37 shows is a decent amount, but typically a band promoting an album would follow that up with a similar run the following year. 9 shows barely a year after an album release is a light touring schedule. 2 hours and 20 minute shows are definitely long enough, if there was slightly less chit chat.

I thought it was fairly well documented why they only played 9 shows this year

If it was only the 2.5 hours a day of playing live, i don't think that's the issue.  It's the touring, living out of hotels, being away from family, that touring performers struggle with.   You're only working 37 days, it results in you being away from home for months,

I mean if they are all living in the Seattle area at the same time why not play Seattle a few nights?  No hotels, no touring.

It’s a good idea. Both Ed and Jeff have indicated they no longer like touring. Do a big event, like the Gorge for a few nights, and that would keep a lot us happy without them having to endure the travel etc.

I fear tickets are going to become a lot harder to get and a lot more expensive when they do go back out. Fewer shows, higher demand, fear that it’s the band’s last run, etc.  :(
Quite the contrary (unless you talk about Chicago, Philadelphia or New York). Demand is at the lowest since perhaps the 06/09 tour. They will play fewer shows for sure, but at this point it is hard to know where it's going exactly. Dark Matter didn't garner the attention they hoped it would (on par with Gigaton).
Now, I guess they are fine with that fact, because they can still sell out stadiums in Australia, fill places very well in most major European countries and in certain areas in North America. Perhaps even South America, so yeah. I wouldn't worry about ticket availability at this point.

The band literally told us they were excited for the next chapter in their statement about Matt leaving.  So I don’t think we have to go into a doom spiral because a tour hasn’t been announced.

I would guess most people in bands don’t like the exhaustive nature of touring.  But I bet that what they do love is performing in front of fans, making new music and the financial benefits of touring.

You are vastly underestimating ticket demand in North America.  Austin, Nashville, Miami, Pitt, Vegas, Seattle, Boston etc were all high demand and hard to secure decent seats.  And don’t tell me there were tickets available the day of the show because that is just Ticketmaster shenanigans.

I would really like to see 2026 have Ohana x2, Gorge x2, Denver x2 along with a few dates in Calgary, Boise, SLC, Phoenix, or ABQ to jump start 2027. Nothing crazy just 6-10 dates to get warmed up for 2-3 legs in 2027
Would be all over the SLC, ABQ and Boise shows.
Bronco(Albertson) Stadium would be fun. I read an article about them maybe allowing a few more shows each year, and Pearl Jam was on the list. Would be there in a sec

Certain areas of North America? What is see is every show in every area of NA being sold out.
I think tickets are becoming easier to get for a lot bands, due to dynamic pricing. You can see when a band doesn't participate in it, the tickets sell out. When it is in place, there can be quite a few tickets available right up to day of show, until the prices drop.

at their age hopefully maybe realize time is short /not take years off like 2017 2019
wish they did more but one leg 2023 2025 better than nothing

really would love to see a residency at this point /seattle is fine maybe 3 or 4 shows just because why not

    but not holding my breath

This assumes that what they want to do in their short time is play more PJ shows.

so i see about 23-pages of nothing here?

just checking in really quick to annoy everyone and get back to work ;)

Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.
